I just happened to wander over to Politico this morning...which I rarely do...and stumbled across this amazing story (Link below) about the successful changes that conservatives are making in a local school district in the Colorado suburbs. For Politico..it's a reasonably fair story ( ignore the headline ) and well worth reading. But I'm wondering why we haven't heard much more about it?
So why is this the best kept secret on the planet? This is 100x better than the reforms that passed in Wisconsin last year.
Anybody know about this? Have any information, links? This is how we take take back control of our schools, and end the unions' dominance.
Enjoy the read: "Koch group, unions battle over Colorado Schools race"
Dang them evil racist Koch bros.
This would be a wonderful thing for schools. Sing it from the rooftops. No more tenure. And salary based on skills, why should a P.E. teacher make as much as a Chemistry teacher?
The liberals, read: UNIONS, are spending big bucks and sending out confusing literature saying the Republican/Conservative candidates “...are too liberal for our children.” I just saw a car with a back window sticker 2’x3’ with the saying, “These 4 candidates {naming the conservative candidates} are too liberal for our children. Vote conservative vote for {named the 4 liberals}.”
And, the fight goes on! Came across the following free enterprise public service message on education, and it seems to fit in here. It was sponsored by a former North Carolina textile company whose owner's concern about the "Nation at Risk" report's sad findings resulted in the recommendations contained in the message:
The press is owned by Obama and his goons - that’s why we haven’t heard about this. “It’s not news until the New York Times says it’s news....”
Can’t quite agree..there are many, many, conservative media outlets..Wash. Examiner, and web sources..FOX News, Daily Caller, etc, etc. etc..POlitico of all places does the story..only because of the supposed influence of the Koch bros.. ( just like they covered Bloomberg’s $$ in the recall elections, eh?)
Thanks ken5050.

Can someone write a brief blurb or post a reliable link on exactly who these Koch brothers are, specifically how they are related to conservatives? I know nothing about them, but I’m in a “discussion group” with conservatives and liberals. The liberals keep bringing them into arguments/discussions like I’m supposed to know who they are. My impression, they have been dredged up in attempt to make it appear they are the George Soros of conservatism. Thanks.

Most of what’s on line paints them as evil obama killers.
You have it exactly right. It's classic leftist projection--the leftists accuse us of what they're doing, in an attempt to deflect criticism or to insulate themselves from the results of their perfidy.
So how did Ed Koch get involved in this? It sounds like the ex-mayor has more influence dead than he did alive.
