The idea that a newly elected school board would end tenure, and refuse to negotiate with the teacher's union; instead, they negotiate contracts with EACH teacher individually, and pay them based upon the value of what they do..i.e. a physics or math teacher is worth $20k MORE than an arts teacher. That's wonderful Heck, it AMAZING!!!.

So why is this the best kept secret on the planet? This is 100x better than the reforms that passed in Wisconsin last year.

Anybody know about this? Have any information, links? This is how we take take back control of our schools, and end the unions' dominance.

This would be a wonderful thing for schools. Sing it from the rooftops. No more tenure. And salary based on skills, why should a P.E. teacher make as much as a Chemistry teacher?

The liberals, read: UNIONS, are spending big bucks and sending out confusing literature saying the Republican/Conservative candidates “...are too liberal for our children.” I just saw a car with a back window sticker 2’x3’ with the saying, “These 4 candidates {naming the conservative candidates} are too liberal for our children. Vote conservative vote for {named the 4 liberals}.”

Kudos to those who seek to free the youth of America from the chains of conformity imposed by so-called "progressive" forces.

And, the fight goes on! Came across the following free enterprise public service message on education, and it seems to fit in here. It was sponsored by a former North Carolina textile company whose owner's concern about the "Nation at Risk" report's sad findings resulted in the recommendations contained in the message:

The press is owned by Obama and his goons - that’s why we haven’t heard about this. “It’s not news until the New York Times says it’s news....”
