Granny Buckeye made it!

My granny made it through surgery and is doing well in recovery!
I sent a private freepmail to a few friends and copied our wonderful prayer group leaders earlier asking for prayer. I shouldn't be amazed but I am about how many replies and wonderful, kind words y'all had for me. FReepers are truly the best!
As I said, Granny is 98, but she's a spunky girl. In the recovery room, they asked her what her name is, etc. She answered everything correctly. Then they asked her who the president is. She said, "Obomber" and shook her head. Everybody laughed. That's my Granny. Heh.
God Bless y'all! Praise the Lord for answered prayers.

I’m not given to one upping.
I want to share just one of many threads about my dearest friend.
She lived to 101 and 5 months.
I spent 6 years taking care of her day and night.
I would like to pass on this particular thread just before her 100th birthday.
I empathize with what you are doing and going through.
These crazy old people teach us so much, if we are open.
If you are inclined to peruse this thread maybe it will be of some use to you.
If you ever need anything, even a simple prayer, let me know .
I’ll even take your call if you need.

Sounds like God gave your Granny an extra helping of "can-do" attitude. My Mom just turned 92, and there doesn't seem to be much that can hold these ladies back, does there? So happy for you and your Granny!

Granny loves mules. She had a brown/black one named Jack as a girl. If anyone knows where to find a stuffed animal or toy mule that is mostly brown or black (not mostly gray/white), please let me know. I’m looking everywhere. Donkeys are close but not quite the same.
(I found a small plastic mule at Hobby Lobby, but it’s about 3-4 inches and not cuddly.)
