Granny Buckeye made it!

My granny made it through surgery and is doing well in recovery!
I sent a private freepmail to a few friends and copied our wonderful prayer group leaders earlier asking for prayer. I shouldn't be amazed but I am about how many replies and wonderful, kind words y'all had for me. FReepers are truly the best!
As I said, Granny is 98, but she's a spunky girl. In the recovery room, they asked her what her name is, etc. She answered everything correctly. Then they asked her who the president is. She said, "Obomber" and shook her head. Everybody laughed. That's my Granny. Heh.
God Bless y'all! Praise the Lord for answered prayers.

Happy for you and her. I don’t think Mom could possibly survive surgery. Maybe physically but that is it. She looses a bit of her each time she is anesthetized or takes any narcotic pain reliever.
The ravages of age are different for all and they are no respecter of status or anything else.

She’s lucky to live at a time when science, doctors and prayer can do wonderful things.

She has had an amazing life - a hard life being from the Depression Era - but very blessed indeed.
We were talking the other day about everything she’s seen from the Model A Ford to space flight. She’s seen it all. So many inventions and so many advancements in so many fields.
