Needing one win for a World Series berth, the Cardinals loaded the bases with nobody out in the first, but Zack Greinke escaped unscathed

Now, does anyone remember another time when the Dodgers loaded the bases in the first inning and came out unscathed? It has happened before.

Gibson’s homer was epic. And I remember fondly Lopes’ 2 homers in game 1 of the ‘78 World Series.
