Needing one win for a World Series berth, the Cardinals loaded the bases with nobody out in the first, but Zack Greinke escaped unscathed
Now, does anyone remember another time when the Dodgers loaded the bases in the first inning and came out unscathed? It has happened before.

Well, no one really cared much, but the answer was 1978 Game 4 against the Phillies. Lefty Doug Rau loaded the bases in the first inning and got out of it (despite having competant Rick Rhoden available). Rau was pulled after 5 (gave up two runs) and the game went into extra innings and the Dodgers clinched in the tenth.
