Unlike Americans who tell pollsters they dont like the new law and find it confusing, the business professionals dealing with the day-to-day reality of the new health insurance landscape accept the Affordable Care Act as straight forward approach to begin cutting the rising cost of health care for people and companies.
At the conference, sponsored by the Sun Life Financial Inc., these health care and corporate professionals pointed to reductions in the expense health care puts on small businesses with less than 50 workers. And they think people who work for small companies as well as part time workers-- will get a better deal from public marketplaces for insurance than from most existing employer plans for part-timers.

Very well said.
Every once in a while, Juan starts to act like he’s been injected with an ever-so-slight amount of common-sense serum and begins to venture into the sunlight of truth... only to be violently jerked back by the firmly re-chained back to the plantation floor.
“Why, Obamacare even pays for me to repeatedly have my head extracted from Barack’s backside, an expensive procedure called a craniorectobamectomy.”
I actually used to kinda like the guy, even though I disagreed with him most of the time. But I have watched him devolve into yet another Zero apologist. To watch him become a lib talking point Obamabot has been just sad.
Wow! What a load of crap!
What is this clown’s claim to fame to get on NPR? Besides the obvious fact that he is black.
Seriously. What did he ever accomplish to get paid for giving his opinions on NPR, and then Foxnews? I know smarter (and more honest) people who pick up trash.
Juam Williams has his head up his obama.
LOL
Joe Biden might tell you that he’s not ONLY black, but clean and articulate!
Millions more will be uncovered this year Juan, because Obamacare has made it uncompetitive to stay in the market.
You are far too kind.
I remember Juan YELLING that if the Catholic bishops don’t want to pay for contraception and abortion, all they need to do is “stop taking federal money.”
Did anyone ever succeed in straightening him out?
Here is the reality Juan doesn’t want to see. My husband works as a contractor for the AirForce. A co-worker is also a contractor but employed by a different company. That company consists of three people: the 67 year old married female president, a secretary, also married, and the co-worker. Since the married president and the married secretary are both covered under their husband’s health insurance, they just dropped the insurance for the co-worker. He is forced to buy Obamacare exchange insurance. The cheapest bare bones policy will cost him $2000 per month since he has five dependents, his wife and four kids, two of whom must now be covered because they are over twenty but not yet 26. To which Juan would reply “But it’s portable. He can take it with him when he changes jobs!”
Gee, Juan. I wonder why? Could it be the millions of people running away in horror from this Obamination?
Dump their current employees health care "COST" on the American tax payer via the federal exchanges, and of course employers will welcome this or any other plan that lowers their out of pocket cost.
Juan Williams is the dumbest porch ______ ever hired by FOX after he was dumped by NPR.
Juan has a son that is hard core conservative, but I'd have to see DNA proof of that relationship.
He does? No kidding. Maybe that's why Juan works extra hard to prove his plantation cred. Gotta make up for the son that ran away.
So if you do as that sebelius person suggested, and choose to delay zerocare for a year by paying the penalty instead, you can expect to pay higher premiums once you do sign up.
At least this person is attempting to quantify those helped and those hurt. 17% helped versus 3% hurt. A 6-to-1 ratio. I suppose that’s good enough for utilitarians.
Now, let’s think about this estimate. According to the U-6 unemployment rate, about 14% of Americans are (1) unemployed, (2) not looking for work because they don’t believe they can find work, and (3) working part-time wanting full-time work. This compares to an 8% U-6 unemployment rate during 2007-08.
It is perhaps unfair to say ALL of the higher U-6 unemployment rate is due specifically to Obamacare. But certainly, at least half of it is. That would be 3% right there.
Without counting any of the people whose health insurance premiums have gone up, and who have been forced to buy health insurance while young and in good health and without assets (so that taking their chances with of being without health insurance makes sense from an individual basis), we account for the ENTIRE estimate of “losers” under Obamacare.
I think a fair estimate is that there are as many losers as their are winners.
