The decision made by the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Commerce to feminize employment in womens stores has created panic among saleswomen, who often have no background in sales and lack sufficient training.
Many saleswomen have been unable to familiarize themselves with the job function to execute their job efficiently and professionally. Sarah E., an employee who was hired a week ago at a womens lingerie shop, said: I am thinking of submitting my resignation. It is really difficult for me to deal with demanding customers.
We were given a five-day training course before we started work. It was beneficial, though mostly theoretical. The only practical part involved detecting fake currency, she said.
I took up this job to change my routine in life, said Basma, who worked at a womens lingerie shop with three months experience. Women have expressed their discontent with the decision taken by the ministry to enforce feminization in the sales sector at gatherings I have attended. They think saleswomen are slow, and they have a point, she said.
We never underwent enough training, especially on how to deal with customers, not to mention the fact that the store itself is not designed to accommodate female workers. There is no space for lockers to keep our belongings safe while on the job, which results in theft. We need more training, experience and patience from the customers side until we are properly trained.
Aziza M., who works at a kids and womens accessory shop, agreed with her colleagues.
We never got the chance to learn from previous salesmen who were working at the store before us. They all left prior to our arrival, she said.
Amal A., who works at a female lingerie shop, said: We work in shifts that last long hours, making it difficult for us. The salary we are paid, which is around SR3,000, is hardly enough to cover our basic needs. Most of our money is spent on drivers. We were promised transportation, but nothing has happened so far.
Pathetic people.
These pathetic people are the pointy end of the spear trying to kill western civilization. They just use even more pathetic people to do their dying.
They all appear to be Democrats, whining about injustice, lack of training and productivity issues. And the men deserted them.
In 1980, we got assigned to the embassy in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. While my late wife was awaiting full-time employment, she was assigned to survey commercial businesses to determine cost of living indexes. Since women can’t drive, I had to chauffeur her around. We went into one lingerie shop and the male Pakistani clerk was only too happy to show her “some lovely lace panties that had just arrived from Italy.”
I think they’re mostly complaining about the lack of proper training, proper facilities for female staff, and the fact that, since they can’t drive, period, that they’re spending most of their paycheck on hiring drivers, when transportation was promised.
Legit beefs given the confines of their repressive society. That fact that they’re even voicing these beefs is actually amazing. I figured they would have been stoned to death by now.
And since they can’t be in the company of an unrelated man, there can’t be a bus service to take them to work.
How hard could it be?
What are they really afraid of?
They will be judged as whores for leaving the house.
What would constitute Arab lingerie, a Burka with a zipper?

Wait' I thought SA was a Islamic paradise where theft is almost unheard of...
The job itself an 8th grader can do, what these women are not telling you is that they are being treated like scum and whores by the islamic men shopping there.
They training they lack is in self defense....but then the islamic police would give them 1,000 lashes for defending themselves from sexual assault since they were the ones that put themselves in the position to work in a store that sets men off...
[Sigh] They're just not gonna turn around seven centuries of bassackwardness in one try.
You mentioned the job was one an 8th grader could do....perhaps one with some degree of social skills who wasn't beaten over their head with the Koran messages.
You are talking about people who have everything dictated to them....of course they don't know how to interact with the public and or have the desired ability to learn their skills...they have the mentality of children for the most part...and this with a heavty dose of domestic abuse.
These woman have the same attitude Teenagers do coming into retail here. It's all about looks and standing pretty..smile and the world will love you. They get a very rude awakening when they discover retail is a lot of work and the public is demanding and rude for the most part.
work is not a movie montage where everything gets learned, completed and figured out in a three minute song.
that said, the system over there has nothing set up for women to succeed at anything.
I resent your remark that it is women who gripe and complain. Men do plenty of griping and complaining too.
They’re having a problem with those split-crotch panties and push-up bras.
Well I am a woman and I will say it again...woman gripe and complain more often than not..that’s just a fact.
I see it all the time in my workplace..and have through the years....although there are exceptions to that “rule” it pretty much is the majority.
Resent it if you like...I don’t play “political correctness anymore”...
Men on the other hand, at least know how to get it out of their system and settle the matters....woman go on and on and on and always want to add to what’s already settled....they are ‘takers’ for the most part...men give a whole heck of a lot easier...and they do so far more gladly.
Bingo. It sure did complicate a lot of lives. In all the Moslem countries on the Saudi borders, women are permitted to drive.
