BIG Police Squad fan - too bad it was short-lived.

I am still angry about this show. I joined the force thinking this was how it really is. Why don’t the show the hours of tedious paperwork?

I’ve got the DVD, I think it is for the whole series. I like the way each show ends with a big laugh then a freeze frame of everyone laughing, but one or two characters aren’t frozen and walk around uncomfortably looking at the frozen ones.
Now I want to dig out that dvd again.

Have a donut, you’ll feel better.
Or, shoot two dogs and call me in the morning. ;)

Loved the show! I really ought to get that on disc.

I was really hoping they’d do this show again, but it’d be so hard to find comics with that level of timing, and directors and writers with that level of humor.

Don’t forget the special guest stars that got it in the opening sequence and the mismatched titles. Brilliant series, it deserved more of a run.

Always funny how at the end, they had the main characters freeze while everything else around them was still moving.

Frank always ran into something every time he arrived on the scene. Usually a garbage can.
I loved the guy without a head. Once Frank looked up there and told him he had a little something on his mouth. An entire turkey fell onto the floor. Yea that got it.

What a cool show, was there from point a, so to speak [to point six], even the light bar trick at the end of the opening credits was laughworthy! The current crop of yutzes in Hollywood haven’t a chance to match this level of [humor], let alone surpass it...

I would have liked to have worked in TV production back then despite it all. My TV production time was in the 90s doing boring but sometimes nice looking public broadcasting.

Frank always ran into something every time he arrived on the scene. Usually a garbage can. There were six episodes total. The number of cans that Frank hits tells you which episode you're watching :)

“Nice beaver!”
“Thank you. I just had it stuffed.”
To: wally_bert
One of the “guest stars” was Lorne Greene. In the opening scene, you see a black car careening around. It finally stops, the door opens and out rolls a body. That was Lorne Greene’s entire guest starring role in that episode — he’s the dead body.
