Overloaded websites and jammed phone lines frustrated consumers for a second day as they tried to sign up for health insurance under the nation’s historic health care overhaul.

That was putting pressure on the federal government and the states that are running their own insurance exchanges to fix the problems amid strong demand for the private insurance plans. …

The delays that continued Wednesday offered one good sign for President Barack Obama and supporters of his signature domestic policy achievement, demonstrating what appeared to be exceptionally high interest in the new system. But the problems also could dampen enthusiasm for the law as Republicans use it as a rallying cry to keep most of the federal government closed. …

Don’t you love it when the media praise the government for breaking your leg then giving you the crutch. See, look at all that demand for government crutches. Without government, what you going to do

People are having a lot of trouble finding the webpage that gives them the $2500/year savings that Obongo promised them.

Just a minor glitch.

Oh my goodness....how far backward will these people bend to make our affirmative action president seem competent?

Strong demand for a system that will supposedly usher you from cradle to grave [maybe a little earlier than one intends] but in reality won’t even boot up?

Nice spin. Looks like the talking points are all ducks in a row.
Now the Communist in Chief appeasing apologists on Fox have an argument.

I wonder what it feels like every day for the castrated punks at AP to get their marching orders from our putrid scum administration.

If the people are able to actually get into the system and see how much “FREE” is going to cost them, their enthusiasm will quickly dissipate.

Here’s another bit of pure propaganda penned by one of the AP/Democrats’ long-time propaganda spewers:

Yep, gotta keep everyone off every inch of government-owned land during the shutdown—to show them how important it is to have multi-trillions worth of annual government expenditures!

Yep, There’s a big difference between “curiosity” and “demand.”

Sure. And massive crowds at the local automobile dealership who stop in to see the latest concept car out of curiosity but make very few purchases demonstrate high demand.

I’d like to see the report detailing how many original and unique views the site had and the actual number of people signed up.

I’ll bet that number is pathetic.

That they can’t find it is a feature.

You have to sign up for it and give all of your personal information to the government before you can find out what’s in it.

You can always call—1-800-F1U-C5YO for great service.

O... wait, Odogdung has tranferred that to a 1-900 during the Feral Government shutdown. You may need a credit card handy and do not forget the 3 digit code on the back.

Thanks for calling

The media also spin Chicago’s high murder rate as evidence that their gun laws don’t go far enough. I only read mainstream media articles for information on their propaganda, not in the hope that I will find the truth.

If I had a couple of thousand hours to spare I’d sign up Barry Soetoro and his Connecticut SSN 042-68-4425 in every state. Over and over and over...

Just a suggestion. I’m not Internet savvy enough for such a daunting task.

Do it from Starbucks.

Online delays signal strong demand for health care

Only the AP, which CLEARLY stands for American Pravda, would try to spin crashing websites as some sort of approval-and-demand by the public.

I call BULLS*** on the premise. I am a computer web application developer, and if I anticipate high demand, I BUILD THAT INTO THE SYSTEM. Load balancers, redundant fallover servers, even a cloud-hosting element if necessary. The professionals did this, you can count on it.

However, the professionals who wrote this code SIMPLY DID NOT HAVE NEARLY ENOUGH TIME to implement such a complex system with so much interconnectivity to so many other systems. It simply is too daunting a task for such a short time frame.

However, the AP (American Pravda) wants to spin failure as success. The media IS ENEMY NUMBER ONE, moreso than Obama.

It means a lot of people are afraid of being punished so they are signing up for a plan they don’t wont or afford.
