I love this, Amy. Thank you so much. I’m a little late getting back but that’s the way it works....LOL! Sometimes I wonder where the day went and if I got anything done or not. Looking at my house, it doesn’t look like I got much done....I do not know how time gets away so fast! Think I’m a little like the bee you posted.....its not doing much, it just looks like it is....LOL!

The Campaign

Each year young people in our community participate in a “Be Nice” campaign spearheaded by a mental health organization. In one of the events in 2012, 6,000 students spelled out the words BE NICE with their bodies on their schools’ sports fields. One principal said, “We want students to come to school and learn without the distraction of fear or sadness or uneasiness around their peers. We are working hard to make sure students are lifting each other up, rather than tearing each other down.”

Paul desired that the people in the church at Rome would have an even higher standard of love. Both the strong and weak in the faith were judging and showing contempt for each other (Rom. 14:1-12). They despised one another as they argued about what foods were permissible to eat (vv.2-3) and what holidays they should observe (vv.5-6). Paul challenged them: “Let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another” (v.19). He reminded them that their hearts should be concerned with pleasing others, not pleasing themselves. He said, “Even Christ did not please Himself” (15:3); He served.

Join the campaign that loves others despite our differences—you’ll bring praise to God (v.7).

Dear Lord, I want to be a person who is
kind and loving to others. Please help me
to use words that will build others up
and bring praise and glory to Your name.

Kindness is simply love flowing out in little gentlenesses.

I'm starting to wonder when the cooler weather will come. Should be in the middle 80s again today. The nights are cooling off but the days have been unseasonably warm.

How is everything at the Wog household?
Things have finally started to calm down here. Marissa is in the 8th grade ... high school next year. Can't believe it.

We are staying in the low 80's here in Los Angeles but the night's are delightful.

The "Wog's" have had a trying year, but I'm beginning to think it is normal for us.

Raising a grandson and shuffling health issues is not what I thought "retirement" would look like. Add to it the political and social upheaval here in our land, and it is a day by day life!

Ha.. a pastor we had said " the problem with life is it's " so daily"!!

Kobe, our grand is in 9th grade this year and back home after 2 years group home. Doing much better but definitely still a challenge some days. Private school and they are SO wonderful in supporting us and him. His grading period were all A's, B's and C's after a somewhat turbulant start!!

papa is having a cancerous spot removed from his face on Friday and we are hoping it is very insignificant and just surface.....

Marissa struggles with her grades.

I really think she doesn’t put forth the required effort. If the only subjects were art and music she would do great.

I have had no problems since surgery and feel great. Will be praying the your hubby’s cancer is minor.
