Katie Holmes might have distanced herself from the Church of Scientology, but few could doubt her dedication to egg-based sauces, as was shown this week with her becoming the face of Hellmanns Mayonnaise.
The actress posed next to a massive cake shaped like a Hellmanns jar at the companys 100th birthday on Pier 84 in New York.
Going a little off message, Holmes told USA Today about the non-mayonnaise-centric dishes she likes to cook, saying she flourishes at pancakes.
I love food. Im working on being a better cook, she explained. I flourish at pancakes. I do sea bass, too.
Katie Holmes celebrates 100 years of mayonnaise Katie Holmes was all smiles as Hellmanns entered its 100th year of making mayonnaise (Picture: AP) Every little thing I do, I take a thousand pictures and send them to my older siblings. See, I can do it, too.
The fun didnt stop at Katie Holmes leaning gingerly on a table however, with Hellmanns also breaking the Guinness World Record for longest picnic table at the event, which now stands at 320ft.
The Batman Begins actress may have picked up her PR expertise from ex-husband Tom Cruise, who was previously seen running along the Great Wall of China for some reason.
Wow I never thought of that combo. Too bad I don’t make school lunches anymore.
Peanut butter, onion and mayo, I’m not kidding but you can’t talk to anyone after eating such a sandwich for a couple of hours (breath problem).
Thanks for the image.
I’ve done that a time or two, but only on toast. It just doesn’t taste right to me on plain bread.
Another one that’s supposed to be good is PB and a little sweet pickle relish. I’ve never tried it, though.
I already have halitosis, might be an improvement.
hahahahahaha
It’s the best!
Add to your list of ingredients just a bit of mustard powder and lemon juice. Mayonnaise made the real way is the best, but it can be a PITA to make with out a good food processor.
LOL, believe me, I understand! Back in college I dated a wonderful gal that, for reasons I would never be able to understand, put ketchup on her hot dogs.
Happy to oblige.
There are only two things I fear and hate more than mayo; spiders and heights..
Mayo? Miracle Whip? Making egg salad?

It’s Hellman’s or nothing.
As Napoleon said on the eve of the battle of Waterloo,
“Hark! They are playing the `Mayonnaise’! The army must be dressing!”
;^)
When I am feeling really extravagant, I add "bread and butter" pickles (sandwich slice). They are a little sweet but not so as the relish you mention.
Food of the Gods, guys. Food of the Gods......
I ALWAYS have ketchup on my hotdog.
MAYO-NAISE
Well, they're just wrong. First off, MW isn't "mayo," nor is it a mayo substitute. It's a "Salad Dressing." Mayo is fine for recipes (try it in a cake, it comes out incredibly moist.) But when it comes to sandwiches, Miracle Whip RULES! It's a little sweet and tangy. It actually adds flavor to the sandwich, as opposed to being a tasteless lubricant.
That's right, I said it! Miracle Whip RULES as a condiment!!!!
Mark
I have both Hellmans and Miracle Whip in my fridge
Same here.
Thanks, I just woke my wife up laughing at that one!
