I’ve done that a time or two, but only on toast. It just doesn’t taste right to me on plain bread.
Another one that’s supposed to be good is PB and a little sweet pickle relish. I’ve never tried it, though.

Another one that’s supposed to be good is PB and a little sweet pickle relish. I’ve never tried it, though.When I am feeling really extravagant, I add "bread and butter" pickles (sandwich slice). They are a little sweet but not so as the relish you mention.
