Earth could continue to host life for at least another 1.75 billion years, as long as nuclear holocaust, an errant asteroid or some other disaster doesn't intervene, a new study calculates.

Actually I suspect life in some form will exist on earth until the planet is toasted by the sun as it swells to a red giant. Likely bacterial below the surface.

I’m guessing Life On Earth would still be around after those happen as well. Not as we know it, and perhaps minus humans, but there would still be life. As long as we can stop Global Warming that is....
