Critic's Notebook: With an ending firmly foretold, the powerful 'Breaking Bad' ushers in a novel twist to TV as more series tinker with form, function.

Going into Sunday's Emmy telecast, all eyes are on "Breaking Bad." It's picked up a slew of acting awards during its five-season run and is this year's odds-on favorite for drama series; as the show moves toward its Sept. 29 finale, its ratings have almost tripled since last year.

Yes. My point was that it was not a poison cigarette. And it is not something that someone would smoke.

The Netflix House of Cards is based on a series the BBC did in the 90s (which Netflix also carries on the stream), which itself is based on a series of novels. F.U. is what people call the main character anti-hero Francis Urquhart in the BBC show and the books, he earns that nickname.

I think you're right. Walt has come to resemble Gus in many ways. He may replicate the revenge Gus exacted at the cartel hacienda....

I was so hoping that Jesse would rescue Hank and Gomey from the Aryan brothers just like he rescued Gus and Mike at the cartel hacienda.

So far I haven't guessed one thing right.

Ha, I thought that was really funny. I love how they copy the editing/cinematography. Very clever.
