Revealed: New book lifts lid on how top Obama adviser David Axelrod was pushed out by civil war....
Daily Mail UK ^ | September 13, 2013 | DAVID MARTOSKO

•Axelrod wanted campaign manager Jim Messina fired, but he wound up the odd man out himself

• Palace intrigue led 'Axe' to refer to Messina and White House messaging chief David Plouffe as 'two strongmen running the Kremlin'

• The two men resented Axelrod for getting rich by taking a percentage of the hundreds of millions spent on campaign ads

•An aloof Obama stayed out of the way as his inner circle fought a political gladiator game that pushed out Axelrod and Press Secretary Robert Gibbs

The man most responsible for getting Barack Obama to the White House – the man who had 'crafted his ads since 2004' and 'had cowritten his narrative' – was forced out of the president's inner circle during the 2012 re-election campaign, a new book reveals.

Obama's two main campaign generals marginalized David Axelrod, the campaign strategist behind Obama's 1990s rise to power from local organizer to president. White House communications director David Plouffe and re-election campaign manager Jim Messina were in open conflict with 'Axe' throughout much of the re-election push.

I am still haunted by that creepy ‘I love obamacare’ Messina photo. Seems like Axelgrease got Trotsky’d.

It’s legal and fairly standard.

It is how campaign managers make their money.

“Is that legal?”

I think Rove did the same thing. I think it is pretty standard, for campaign management, in both parties.

They create legal entities, companies, and run various aspects of campaigns through them.

Meh.

Axelrod still looks like a slimy child molester.

Messina looks like a child molester. When his hard to hide inner Masochist with gender issues doesn’t come out to play.

While Valerie Jarrett could easily substitute for any number of vile, disgustingly arrogant “Dragon Ladies” from any number of 1940s Republic serial.

Maybe they should all be in a cage match on pay per view?

People wonder why the executive branch is dysfunctional — but their common characteristic is utter ruthlessness, and that gets things done, and that being the number one requirement, personal lives and little shortcomings like pedophilia, murders, etc, aren’t important, or even newsworthy.

“Is that legal? “

The campaign laws are written so people can get rich. Anthony Wiener ran for mayor because he had 4 million in campaign funds and that was the only way to access them. You can do almost anything in a campaign.

Except, apparently, hire your own family to work for your campaign.

So the Axelrods and Roves can get rich by skimming a percent off the top of ad buys, but the wife or brother-in-law cannot.

Is this so? I thought hiring family was the standard.

With what is known about Obunga, many of his staff probably have AIDS, or other disease common to that group.

Hard to say for sure. Many candidates have made an issue of it towards their opponents.

From a FreeRepublic search over the years:

Biden Gave $2 MILLION CAMPAIGN FUNDS TO FAMILY

CA: Pombo paid kin from campaign

DeLay explains why he hired family members

All in the Family (Boxer,Dean,Sanders)

Lawmaker keeps wife on payroll (LIB DEMOCRAT Filner)

Scott Brown’s daughter paid thousands to sing at campaign events

Political Payrolls Include Families(The 'Rats have no room to talk!)

Bronx pol Naomi Rivera put son on n/p payroll (Latino underworld thrives on tax dollars)
