Over the weekend, I called and emailed the Congressman asking his help to do a status check for me. Today, I got a reply asking to fill out a Casework Authorization Form and get it back to him. I tried to fax it and the fax wouldnt work so I emailed it and then called the office. His secretary told me it would take too long for him to get it that way and I should email it to her and she would make sure he gets it immediately. She asked what the nature of my request is and I told her what is going on, how long it has been and with the holiday, its hard not being able to provide for the kids and get a good holiday meal for the family. She said she would put us on her prayer list and they would help all they can with the status request.
Tomorrow is the spinal cord stimulator test. They put it in tomorrow. If it doesnt help right away, they take it out and I come home. If it seems to help, they tape it down, put the battery on the belt I have to wear and I come home for about a week (that means, they take it out on Christmas Eve and I go back to being in constant pain). Im praying it helps, but Im petrified with fear over this. My anxiety is so bad; I havent been able to eat for almost 2 days. Prayers appreciated...God Bless you all!
I made this list up from everyone who replied to this thread. I posted an update on post 261. Tomorrow is the date for the trial procedure. Please pray it goes well and they don’t do anything to cause my paralysis to be permanent.
Prayers for you for a successful outcome.
How fortunate you were to have spoken to your congressman’s secretary and for her to put you on her prayer list!
May God bless you, your family AND your doctors.
Merry Christmas!!
Prayers that it is helpful to you. YOu need some relief! Also
hope your congressman can help you get to your case!
Praying now.
Continuing to pray for you.
Try to relax — I know it’s easy to say.
Hoping the procedure will work but the way I try to deal with things is to look at both sides — if it works, great, if not, then you will just continue to search and you WILL find help.
God bless you and please keep us informed.
I join in earnest prayer for you, dear trussell!
Really hoping for good news on the stimulator. And also that your daughter will take up that offer to go to Indiana. Hoping is really not the right word. Praying is the way.
Joining with you all in prayer.
Getting your story on the local news can motivate action. I keep thinking of that family in NY whose infant was excluded from their Obamacare family policy. After scores of inquiries by the dad to customer service, once it got some press, voila! - it was corrected.
Unfortunately, it also probably came with an audit. But in your case, your main beef is with insurance, not the Feds.
Good luck and God bless. Prayers offered.
