I had no reference to keeping multiple sets of keys in the car. I keep the extras in my pocket, so even if I were so distracted and left the key in the ignition I have one or more keys in my pocket with which to open the door.

I thought maybe they were offering the reward so they could recruit the perps to help them with their real agenda.
