Currently, there's a bill (H.R. 2910) that will make it illegal to purchase lower receiver parts of any rifle. This bill was written by Henry Waxman (D-Cal.) has six other sponsors supporting it, obviously all are Democratic. BTW yeh, this also includes barrels too not just lower receiver parts, and for any type of rifle. Is there going to be an increase in sales for these lower parts?

I've always been amused by the irony of Waxman representing a 'community' so totally obsessed with superficial beauty. If he showed up alone and unannounced at any of their clubs or parties he would be bounced most unpolitely.
I can only conclude that most Hollywood types are ignorant of his role in their lives. It would be amusing to set up a table with lots of big, unflattering pictures and try to recruit them to work for the campaign of "Waxman, 'Republican' For Congress" and see how they react.
Every time one of these leftist wacko gun controllers proposed *any* gun control bill, there should be a stack of pro-gun liberty bills written and ready to go, to slap them down.
For example, a bill so that non-military and non-police federal agencies would not be permitted to have either SWAT tactical teams, or weapons. (For example, the Department of Education has a SWAT team. They should not, nor have the weapons and equipment to assemble a SWAT team.)
Even more to the point, a bill that if guns and/or ammunition were manufactured in a state, exclusively for use in that state, that they were exempt from federal regulation, especially the Interstate Commerce Clause of the constitution.
This would so terrify the leftist wacko gun controllers that they would lose continence.
