Honestly, I can’t see this colony ending well.
I think that they need to do the following mental health test for applicants:

I think we’ve all met this person in our lives, especially at work. Anyone read or skimmed a book from one of those person manning the science dome in Antartica (it was the lady who suffered a life-threatening condition and had to be evac’d by plane), it will give you a glimpse of what happens where you are isolated from a population for 6 months.
I probably should expand on my premise.
