A new mobile app developed by U of San Diego Lecturer Brett Stalbaum allows people to "GeoLocate dangerous guns and owners." The app pinpoints the locations of homes, businesses and other sites where "dangerous" guns are located. Geo Marker (app developer)states it's for the safety of public to know where potential "unsafe" gun owners might be.

Really?, WTF, as you can see many non-gun activist will jump all over this for the cause of good.
A better app would tell us where dangerous college professors are located.
It will start blinking and sounding an audio alarm if it finds both: a Jew who has a gun.
We can't have any Warsaw Ghetto Uprising copycats, now can we?
Every days headline is looking more and more like Bible prophecy coming truer incrementally. The dominoes are aligning.
This is old news. There are already a gazillion ways to corrupt & defeat this app.
ObamaCare is the next Holocaust. Designed as such, ya think?
Today’s scenario looking more and more like Hitler’s Germany, ya think?
How about an app indicating where guns AREN’T? Call the Crime Refuge Zones.
Oh good. It tracks all those violent criminals who have illegal guns and are a danger to innocent, non-violent people.

The basic conflict is between those who want Liberty and those who want Totalitarianism.
For over a century various names have been applied by the advocates of Totalitarianism to their groups such as Progressive, Socialist, and Communist.
All such names are based on the King-Slave Style of governance.
The last King-Slave System practiced in America was the Plantation System which ended in a horrific Civil War, and consequences that we are still recovering from today.
Currently, the King-Slave Model has been sold to America as a Safety Net, and eagerly embraced by the 47 % who pay no person homage to their King.
The 53 % are being led by Republicans who are afraid of EFFECTIVELY opposing the King.
Hence, we have a watershed position in time rapidly approaching where we, the 53 % who pay our personal Federal Income Taxes, must choose between changing the Leaders of the Republican Party, or continue to financially support these same cowardly leaders.
Partial Government control is Socialism.
There is partial Liberty with Socialism.
Total Government control is Communism.
There is no Liberty with Communism.
Conservatives are dedicated to conserving Liberty.
The Federal politicians who support whole or partial Government control are either Socialists or Communists.
Conservatives should not donate money or time to these Socialists or Communists.
Will you LEAD, follow, or get out of the way?
Our sorry Democrats and RINOs in Congress have chosen to follow as America continues to not oppose The Man in The Big House at 1600 Plantation Avenue, in the District of Corruption.
What say all of you?
Also allows thieves to target defenseless homes...
If it’s the app I’m thinking of all data is inputted by users. The idea is if you know your neighbor has guns and drinks for instance you can input his name and address and it is shared by all users of the app.
Of course there’s nothing to say that a gun owner can’t download it and enter all left wing college professors or socialist gun grabbing politicians. I fully expect a lawsuit when someone gets shot or has their guns stolen because the were located by the app to shut it down.
Not a dumb question at all
IIRC this app relies on your friendly neighborhood snitch posting the names & addresses of those he/she thinks have guns in their house. It is more of a website database than a software.
The “inventor” is already backing away from his brainchild as he did not realize how many informed & e-aware gun rights supporters are out there. Gun rights sites are already suggesting ways for supporters to post names/addresses of gungrabbers, liberals, & other enemies of the Second Amendment.
Apparently this app has no spoofing filter or quality control and is infinitely corruptible. The ancient data processing adage applies here:
“Garbage in, garbage out”
Time to pullout the old phone book and start typing info into that app. There are only 57 States. This shouldn't take long.
Hopefully it allows you to add in what they have. Some of the “Mayors” are going to have thermonuclear warheads in their closets.
So... theoretically, if you enter the names & addresses of everyone in your town, the town’s crime rate should go down. If a potential gun thief has to worry about the gun owning neighbor of the house he wants to rob, he would target the next town over.
And applying that little theory on a larger scale, I wonder how long it would take to enter every Texas household into that app...
:-)
Or, finding the home addresses and then having an app that describes the homes as woefully unprotected by weapons. This app’s publishers might understand the gun-owning homes would present a more dangerous target for perps than the homes of unarmed pacifists.
