Picture please?
I didn’t buy a replacement for my white Resistol that just wore out.
It was great in Walmart. People, especially old ladies, just cleared the aisle. No words, just the hat.
I usually don,t wear a hat of any kind any more but used to wear one all of the time when i was a peon working in the fields or working on a ranch, it just makes good sense, keeps the rain or sun off., makes a good container for water, wild berries, feed bag, etc.
Some one once told me that wide brimmed hats has has been around for thousands of years but i don,t know.
You’re definitely getting closer to the point.
It’s not that liberals hate cowboy hats and white skin,
they hate the culture that they represent.
Liberals HATE Western/Christian Culture, and more to the point, God’s Law on which that culture is based.
Cowboy hats and “white” skin are just proxies.
When I was stationed in Germany, there was something of a mild obsession with the Marlboro man...
To me, most hats have way too big a brim and look like you are about to take off. I like a three inch brim with a pinch front and it looks nice on me.
Although i have done much more peon work in the fields than i ever did cowboying, i had as much use for wearing what is called a cowboy hat as any cowboy and nobody ever tried to tell me at what angle to wear it.
As for golfing or base ball caps, i would not be caught dead in one unless i am doing mechanic work, they help keep the grease out of my hair.
Cowboy hats do look nice on a lot of people, but nothing makes me look nice any more, maybe some white hair on my upper lip?
The Man’s Hat Shop is where I get mine.
From photos, it looks like a place I’d love to visit.
It can be a bit overwhelming at first.
I was just saying the other day, my 10 y/o GD will never know what a millinery shop is. Every town had one....and a larger town might have two or three!
For us girls picking out your *Easter bonnet* was such a big deal...goodness, times have changed.
I hate those plastic wrappers people put on hats. Hats are supposed to protect you from the elements, if your hat needs protection from the elements you’ve lost the narrative.
A couple of things I don’t understand:
Wearing a ball cap that only shades part of the front of your face from only one angle of the sun.
Pickup trucks with extended cabs with such a reduced size bed that they cannot “pick up” much of anything.
