The MS Pacific, a cruise ship made famous by the popular U.S. 1970s television show "The Love Boat," has sailed its final voyage to a ship-breaking yard on Turkey's Aegean Sea coast, a shipping group said on Wednesday.
Called the Pacific Princess when it was on the long-running comedy, the iconic 13,500-tonne, 171-m-long (561-foot-long) vessel will be stripped for its metal and parts, said Ersin Ceviker of the Ship Recyclers' Association of Turkey.
Aaron Spelling's "The Love Boat," starring Gavin MacLeod as the ship's captain, ran on the U.S. television network ABC from 1977 to 1986. The show was set on board the Pacific Princess, which mainly sailed from California to the Mexican Riveria.

Thanks for the Love Boat ping.
No, we were not very compatible..........
What was the deal with those pastel-ly wrinkle free, skin tones and set colors in those 70s TV shows? Everything looked like various flavors of sherbet.
I was thinking those “washed up” stars were a helluva lot more talented and interesting than the crap that passes for celebrity today.
But, alas, this was her in 2010...
Your image from 2010 must have been so hideous that the website removed it to protect itself!
What a shame, for her.
As for the boat I would have thought that would be valuable to some rich collector of memorabilia.

Dear lord, why did FR defenses break down when you posted it?! ;)
Did you check the link you posted? Perhaps the picture is pulled or you made a typo.
FR wouldnt disable the picture if it was offensive, they would delete the comment.
It’s actually her profile picture on IMDb. It should be showing, just right-click “show picture” again. It’s not awful, given her former drug habit, but sadly what happens to attractive women regardless... the horror known as “aging.”
My family took the Pacific Princess from Anchorage, Ak through British Columbia to Vancouver in the 90’s. The nice part about PP as compared to the larger cruise ships was that she could cruise deep into the fjords in and around Glacier Bay. She had maneuvering motors below the waterline that allowed her to 360 in spot. We got much closer to glaciers and we were able to experience ice calves up close. Food as good as any cruise line. The exercise room was a bit cramped.
LOL I know, I was kidding. I was razzing DJ for posting what I assumed was a bad link.
However the address is correct and the pic shows up when I go to to it so I don’t know why it doesn’t show up here (for me at least).
