Good Morning, MEG.
I have measured every event in my recent life from that Day.
Never Forget.
Good Morning, Mary Lou.
That Day is engraved on my heart..
I saw a sign in front of a church that seems to me to be a great motto for relationships: Receive love. Give love. Repeat.
The greatest love that we receive is the love of God. He loved us so much that He gave His Son Jesus to live, die, and rise again to redeem us (1 John 4:9). We receive His love when we receive Jesus as our Savior and Lord. As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name (John 1:12).
After weve experienced Gods love, we then can learn to give love. Let us love one another, for love is of God (1 John 4:7).
Gods love enables us to love our brothers and sisters in Christ. We teach, encourage, and rebuke. We weep and rejoice. The love we give is tender and tough and supportive. We are taught by Jesus even to love our enemies: Do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you (Matt. 5:44). Giving love to others can be challenging in some situations, but its possible because of the love God has first given to us.
A good plan for our lives today: Receive love. Give love. Repeat.

Amen.

Gods promise in times of ease or times of pain is the same: I will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). So, be assured that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
:)
I loved the story and I didn’t think it was too long at all, TCP! When I need another story I will put a quarter in and ping you...LOL!
Couldn’t be any sweeter than that one, Kitty! Thank you!!
Weekly I receive 40 or more requests for contributions for the poor, deformed, sick, hungry, homeless, injured solders, people without clean water, etc.. To make contributions to any of them, or to contribute to election candidates, local or national, and suddenly be deluged by requests for funds, and Overly deluged. Makes me regret giving to the down trodden. How to stop it? Seems impossible.
Contributions to the church are the only ones to not besiege me for more, more, more. Seems to punish the ones attempting to aid our fellowman. The Salvation Army is one of the best organizations.
God bless the Bikers and their ride to the capital.
Love being given and received is our higher self expressing.

LOL! You’re funny and I enjoy ‘funny’. I’ve been to the grocery store and was hungry when I went and you know what that means....bought too much. Was hungry when I got home so I ate a little of this and that. Haven’t finished putting away and am so tired, I probably won’t finish until morning. Getting all the cold stuff put away is what we must do first. I need to just sit and rest a while.
This old body told me “I am worn out”. It doesn’t matter anyway, my rest is more important at this time. People who don’t have to do the grocery shopping do not realize what a tiring job it is. But as I always say “everything is harder as we get older.”
Jokes,,,,also free!

Boxing and strong-man competitions have a unique aspect to them. In the events, the athletes compete individually for the purpose of demonstrating their superior strength. Its like arm wrestlingyou do it to prove that you are the strongest person in the room.
One aspect of Gods glory is His almighty power. But how does He show His strength? He doesnt do it by rearranging the galaxies before our very eyes, changing the color of the sun at a whim, or freezing a lightning bolt as a trophy to His strength. Instead, in His love and compassion for needy people like ourselves, God has chosen to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him (2 Chron. 16:9).
The pattern is consistent throughout Scripture. From the dividing of the Red Sea, to the marvel of manna in the wilderness, to the miraculous virgin birth, and ultimately to the power of the resurrection, our Almighty God has chosen to demonstrate His strength to bless, preserve, and protect His people.
Be assured that He delights in showing Himself strong in the challenges of our life. And when He proves His power on our behalf, lets remember to give Him the glory!
