I knew going into my 30-day experiment of living with a gun that I was putting my family and myself at risk.
Only two days into my experiment I went to breakfast with my two kids and some friends. After eating and shopping, my gun with me the entire time, I was anxious to get home to enjoy the warm weather. I put my purse on the counter and then spent the next hour out on the back deck. Walking into the kitchen to refresh our drinks, I noticed my purse with the 9mm Glock still inside it. Id forgotten to lock it up! Panic set in as I realized my teen son was playing videogames just 10 feet away. What if hed decided to get the socks Id bought him from my purse while I was out on the deck? Thoughts raced through my mind and I pondered how Id just straddled the fine line between being a responsible gun owner and an irresponsible idiot whose 15-year-old just accidentally shot himself or someone else with my gun.
...
Since having the gun Ive had two repairmen, a carpet cleaner, and a salesmen in my home. If the guns for self-protection, its not going to do any good in the safe, but its not really practical to have the gun pointing at them as they work.
Blah, Blah, Blah

What I read in what was posted is pretty typical of anti-gun libs -
“_I_ can’t be trusted with a gun, so no one else can be either.”
“Guns scare me, so you can’t have one.”
She’s not straddling the line between responsible and idiot, she’s an idiot.
From the time they were little I’ve given my kids unloaded guns to play with after explaining to them the dangers and setting up the rules. I got their gun curiosity all out of them. If you make it a taboo, then they’ll have it in mind all the time.
I would haul them out, let them play with them as long as they wanted. Eventually, they tired of touching and holding them. As they got big enough we’d go shooting. They knew that a gun is a tool, neither good nor bad.
Of course, liberals are control freaks, so liberty is out of the question.
Interesting how liberals moralize the inanimate, like guns or profits.
On the other hand, an unborn baby is inanimate - a blob of tissue with no value or moral aspect.

Rock solid and well said.
If it ever existed is the key here. Some ‘friend’ melted the Glock down for her...so it wouldn’t be used in a crime.
She’s dumb or a liar or both.

There's sooo much about the story she spins that doesn't "smell right". But, to bring it up in her venues (the Ms. blog, whatever the other one was) would be considered "threatening", probably.
It’s about as believable as a love affair between George Soros and Sarah Palin.
Haven’t heard that one before.
How about 'scrimmage'?
Or 'a workout' with a partner?
Maybe 'undress rehearsal'?
