Think of the old fashioned, round "coal bed warmers" but when opened the top could be rotated close to 360 degrees instead of 180 degrees.
What type of hinge would work or links to any current product examples would be appreciated. The round top fits the round bottom but can be opened close to all the way.
It's the round part that is throwing me and the placement of the hinge.
Sorry for such a stupid question. Appreciate the help in advance.
you want to be able to flip the top all the way back not just vertical, it sounds like. i don’t know why that’s so hard to find for you. any hardware store.
It’s not so much the hinges as the placement on two equal parts like tennis rackets places next to each other the swivel close to 360 degrees.
Forget the bed warmer.
The bed warmer part was more for the roundness. I didn’t realize that the top was attached with a different design.
Darn. Gotta run. I’ll check back in the morning. Thanks in advance.
There is also the “360 degree hinge” that basically can turn to any angle. But if you are looking to have some kind of offset hinge, then use a double action hinge if it is the right height or just make your own using two regular hinges with a connection plate between with the necessary height offset.
Also I prefer my bed warmers to be ginger.
Enough with the Gilligan’s Island references.
Like the other responders, I’m not quite sure what you want.
Consider attaching the hinge to the center of the top rather than the edge. Imaging an arm that reaches to the center handle.
That looks like a snake with a big mouth.
Yeah, but did you stay at a Holliday Inn last night?
“Yeah, but did you stay at a Holliday Inn last night?”
If I did, I would know how to answer his question!
