Well they de-balled the lone ranger so they get de-balled at the box office....
What gives? I’ve seen more stories about the failure of “Lone Ranger” than I’ve seen People Magazine covers of Jennifer Aniston.
Ever person I have talked to said that the movie should be named “Tonto” because they have made the Lone Ranger the supporting character.
Johnny Depp is dumb. He’s like a dumb puppy that has big teeth that can bite and hurt you, aggressive. My daughter is four, my boy is one. I’d like them to see Johnny Depp as a toy, a broken toy. Investigate him a little, check him out, get this feeling and then get out.
They need a sequel——http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-07-09/caption-contest-drone-ranger
Who WAS that masked man????
I asked someone I know who is in the movie what he thought of it during production... He said ‘Don’t invest in this movie.’ After the premier, his response was: ‘I already have my paycheck, don’t care what they do.’
I haven’t seen the movie, but a friend of mine has. Based on his recommendation, I won’t bother.
My friend loves Western movies, and liked the original Lone Ranger TV show. He said this remake is “terrible”.
If I want to watch White America bashing I can watch MSDNC for free.
Pray for America to Wake Up
Won't buy it. Won't rent it. Won't watch it. Ever!
The problem with this lousy movie is that it wasn’t titled, “Tonto.” Maybe Johnny Depp learned something about reading scripts.
Shows that Hollywood doesn’t make movies to entertain or even to make money. It makes movies to promote the producer’s vision of the world as it should be.
I haven’t seen the movie, but I have seen a couple of clips.
That crow on Tonto’s head is enough for me to save my money.
It’s weird I really liked it and my Dad (in his 60’s) did too.
I went into it knowing it would be cheesy and over the top, and basically pirates of the caribbean in the old west.
It wasn’t THAT bad, and I know there are some really bad movies nowadays. I think it got bad word of mouth in the beginning and everyone went with it without actually seeing it.
I also didn’t notice any PC stuff.
Hint to Disney, if you want to make a successful Western, don’t dedicate large swathes of the dialogue to dissing Manifest Destiny.
My family and I saw The Lone Ranger and a good time was had by all. The whole theater. Cowboys, Indians, guns, arrows, trains. Fun stuff. Some people will find anything to gripe about.
