It might be useful to look at recent history through the prism of the NSA total information scandal.

But why would the NSA want a fascist moron to win anything, ever? Because he’s a statist, and they’re potential beneficiaries of believers in the big state?

Ryans divirce was no secret and it was rumored that he and his wife were swapping. I doubt that he had to use NSA for that, but certainly knows every dirty Chicago trick in the book , and he doesn’t mind using them. Look at what he did to Justice Roberts.

Just a suggestion, but I would encourage all to follow the Saudi money. It bought the UK and now has purchased a U.S. Presidency.

Too damn bad Egypt didn't get the memo.

At this point I think government works for the NSA.

It’s unlikely that anybody at the NSA would give the time of day to a junior state senator. However, it is certainly possible, and probable, that the state Democrats would be willing to maneuver somebody into key positions where they would have access to sensitive information about their opponents.

How did Mitt Romney, with the full backing of the fastest-growing religion in America, big money donors, Karl Rove’s hundreds of millions and many millions of people sick to death of Mr. Obama, lose worse than John McCain four years prior to him?

It’s easy to do. You don’t need the NSA. Welcome to the Chicago Way. (I don’t mean to stick it to all you rubes out there, but this technique is ancient).

Why would the NSA help an obscure Illinois legislator?

I suggest as more likely culprits one of the attorneys involved or a court staffer.

He didn’t defeat Ryan, Ryan imploded because he had a very public divorce with lots of rumored ugliness that eventually got exposed to be even uglier. Ryan withdrew, and got replaced by Alan Keyes who ran a terrible campaign.

Democrats have been entrenched in Illinois so long that something like the NSA is unnecessary for a small operation like this.

The Illinois bureaucracy has been completely infiltrated by libs. They dig up dirt on anyone who poses a threat without having to be directed.

Didn’t Lois Fifth Amendment Lerner have something to do with political shenanigans in Illinois?

How about congressman Tom Delay’s income tax “problems”?

The divorce records were sealed. By definition, IMHO, that means there was dirt to be found in them. Even someone of 0bama’s intellect would be able to figure that out.

1. According to James Jesus Angleton, the CIA had been penetrated by communist moles during the Cold War.

1a. Considering the amount of time that has passed, it is probably a safe assumption that the NSA has been subverted also.

2. Many of the people behind and around Obama are communists, and some of them like Bill Ayers are commie agitators from that period. There is no reason to believe they have ceased their activities, just changed the direction.

3. It is a fact that most of the media is in the tank with the left. They would be happy to spew whatever propaganda they were told to.

Looking at all 3, well, it would not be hard to say that a communist conspiracy is well on its way to hijacking America.

The Chicago Tribune filed suit to have access to Jack Ryan’s divorce file. David Axelrod was a long time Tribune reporter before entering politics. Colonel McCormick is rolling in his grave.

Ryan’s wife told the Trib and ABC. They went after the records with a vengeance a la every liberal media outlet. They got a judge to ‘unseal’ sealed public records as it was in the public interest.

Once the he said, she said stories broke, none of which were particularly damning given their angry divorce people stayed home and... we got Obama.

So the lesson is?

Knowing what we know of the NSA at this point in time, I suspect that they gave him the information.

you read too much into it. A corrupt, leftist, and likely reverse-racist low-level clerk in the Illinois judicial system would have sufficed - and no doubt Illinois and Chicago have plenty of those.
