OSO WAS PICKED UP BY HIS FAMILY. Most of us wished for a better life for this pup with people more committed to taking care of him and loving him forever. I'm sure Oso is happy. I hope Oso's family knows how special he is. I hope they never do something this stupid or dangerous again.
I will chance that they just saw the pound as a cheap kennel. Most pounds will allow the dog to live a week, or so, before killing it.
Personally, if I owned a dog and was going on vacation, the dog would be coming with me.
Why did they let the owners have the dog back?
Love it.
I don’t think the pound could rescind ownership, unless the owners were mistreating it.
These people do not deserve to own any kind of pet. They are despicable.
Warning, Bad Joke below:
You accidently lock your wife (or husband) and dog in the car trunk for 24 hours. After opening the trunk, guess which one is happy to see you?
dog would bebetter offwith new owners. most places don’t let them take a pet they surrendered back.
ownership ceases at surrender. you sign a form giving up ownership rights.
My son and family had to go to Hawaii to attend a wedding this last week. The wife and I drove the 250 miles to their house to pick up their dog, bring it home with us and babysit it for a week. Like most FReepers, we’ve got a thing for animals. Especially dogs.
Personally, if I owned a dog and was going on vacation, the dog would be coming with me.Exactly. Me too! In fact, right now I'm trying to find a pet-friendly cabin in Southern Wisconsin or thereabouts...
Why not, Family Services can destroy a family by taking children away from their parents.
Your son is lucky to great parents
iPad spelling check mess
Anyways , your son is a lucky guy to have great folks
Our dogs go almost everywhere with us. We went shopping today and my wife said she thinks her separation anxiety is as bad as the dogs.
We’re probably going to take them to a town that doesn’t allow fireworks for a few days. They’ve already started popping them and my dogs are shaking. I hate the sob firecrackin’ poppin’ rednecks and Asians.
I’m angling to adopt a 9 year-old retriever who’s in the pound because of a lifetime of mistreatment and abuse. The criminal proceedings won’t begin until July or August. The owner is a drug addict and allowed the dog to be infested with fleas, left him outside over the winter and didn’t get him to a vet after he was hit by a car. He needs rescuing and I’m the one to do it.
The animal control officer keeps the dog in her office where he plays with three 12-week old kittens. Abusing a dog is one of the lowest crimes I can think of. Not the lowest but pretty far down there.
The better question is which one am I happier to see?
