WINNSBORO, SC (WIS) - Logan Robinson is going to need a bigger sash. He's come a long way in 10 years. Back then he was just a 7-year-old Cub Scout who enjoyed carving polar bears out of bars of soap.
"For a 7-year old to have a knife and be carving something, it was awesome," said Robinson. "I was hooked right away."
Robinson achieved his Eagle Scout rank by the age of 13. Most scouts quit when they hit Eagle. Robinson was just getting started.
"If I didn't have something to focus on, I was just going to fizzle out," said Robinson.
So Troop 49 scoutmaster Jimmie Joyner gave Robinson a challenge: earn every single badge available -- all 134.
"I've heard there have only been about 180-200 boys who've earned every badge out of the millions of scouts," said Joyner.
Robinson had many weekends spent at scouting camps earning a few badges at a time, but he got there. Everything from dentistry to tracking and bugling, which was a pain.
"You have to learn I believe it's 13 different bugle calls, and I had absolutely no musical experience," said Robinson.
Those experiences that made the 2 1/2-year journey worth it.
"I mean I've gotten to see F-35's being built in person," said Robinson, "who gets to do that?"
He hopes many more will. Part of the fun is showing off the sash to younger scouts and hopefully inspire them.
Just don't ask for too much detail about the nuclear science patch.
"I remember doing it," said Robinson. "Every little aspect of it? Ehh."

Possessing a small carving knife would get you expelled in most school districts today. Sad, but true.
Congratulations to this young man and I hope he ultimately get’s the happy life badge.
Although I don’t know what it takes to be an Eagle Scout, it’s not out of the realm of possibility when you consider how much time urban kids have. How badges could a kid earn during school breaks and summers?
My son legitimately made Eagle at 13 - he was focused and worked very hard - there were no hand outs or parental participation.
Way to go! Awesome!
PS: As a former scout slacker, I hate you ;-)
You can’t accept the fact that some people are exceptional at reaching certain goals in their life because they overachieve at them?
Probably the last one.

RIP and may God have mercy on your soul (which you torched).
Great job, Logan!
You don’t have to walk away from it. Just create an conservative, Godly national alternative!
That’s right. They deserve moral support and encouragement.
Does he have the Pederasty badge?
(newest one)
Considering how much of an overachiever he is he’ll either rise through the ranks of the military pretty fast or he’ll be successful in business.
I am a scout leader and we have two very focused kids.
Yes with parent support and encouragement each has earned 25 merit badges by the time they turned 13.
I worked with them on the Personal Management badge and they came in well prepared and met all the requirements.
Also, various organizations including some colleges have
set up merit badge colleges so a scout can earn a merit badge or two in a weekend.

Eagle Scouts are expected to set an example for other Scouts and to become the leaders in life that they have demonstrated themselves to be in Scouting. As such, they are disproportionately represented in the military, service academy graduates, in higher education and academia, major professions, the clergy, business and politics.[37][38]
Eagle Scouts who enlist in the U.S. Armed Forces may receive advanced rank in recognition of their achievements.[39][40][41]
Adult Scouters who earned Eagle Scout as a youth may wear a square knot emblem with a red, white, and blue striped square knot above the left shirt pocket; the medal may be worn on formal occasions.[25] Eagle Scouts may join the National Eagle Scout Association (NESA), which serves as a fellowship and communications board for all Eagle Scouts.
NESA directly administers several Eagle Scout scholarships.[42] The American Legion,[43] the National Jewish Committee on Scouting,[44] and the Sons of the American Revolution[45] offer scholarships directed toward Eagle Scouts. Many colleges and universities, local businesses, churches and other organizations may offer similar scholarships.
The NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout Award recognizes Eagle Scouts who have demonstrated outstanding achievement at the local, state, or regional level.
The Distinguished Eagle Scout Award is given only to Eagle Scouts for distinguished service in their profession and the community for a period of at least 25 years after earning Eagle Scout.
I wonder if he is home schooled?
Personal achievement in the era of the lazy, parasitic “you didn’t do that” Obama Regime.
This kid strikes me as more qualified and competent than Obama, Pelosi, Biden, and Reid combined.
