Your jalapeno flowers will be white. Not all your squash flowers will produce a squash. Only the female flowers will. Look for a small bulb just below the flower. The flower on the right in the photo below is the female.

Well, that little flower is yellow so I don’t know what that is unless it’s a sweet pepper.

I forgot to mention. If you ever decide to grow melons they have a similar flower structure (Male, Female) as in the picture of the squash flower.
