“Well it worked for most of my tomatoes.”

So, I could take a cutting off the strong cheery tomato plant and root it in my potting soil mix and have another of that fine tomato plant?

If it were not for Johnny, you, and the rest of you on this thread, I wouldn’t have been able to grow anything. I started with zero knowledge. My parents knew, of course, I didn’t like dirt even as a little child. They would be surprised and laughing that I’m growing plants.

Yes, you can do that with your cherry tomato. It should work, but I would wait till later.

I never liked playing in dirt either. I can’t stand to get stuff under my finger nails. It’s like squeaky chalk on the black board. I wear gardening gloves. I also keep disposable gloves on hand to wear in the kitchen for certain chores like mixing meat loaf.

But I have always liked plants and flowers. When I was younger, I had a few books on houseplants, but I managed to kill them all, so after a few years I gave up.

This thread and the sq. foot gardening book are the 2 things that got me going, so when Red Devil moved, JDAB took over the thread, but got busy, so I stepped up. I just wanted to “pay it forward”.
