ST. CLOUD, Fla. - A school talent show turned into a brawl between angry mothers, and police say one of the women choked the other in front of children.
St. Cloud police said what happened between Latisha James and Jessica Tyler was out of control.
It started Friday at their children's talent show at Lakeview Elementary School when, according to police, Tyler asked James to sit down because James was videotaping and blocking her view. From there, things got heated.
Tyler said James "grabbed her by her neck with one hand and began punching her multiple times."
In the 911 call, however, James said she was attacked after she accidentally bumped into a child.

Sounds like people from a very refined and polite culture...
“Amish” ?
I didn’t know Amish had video cameras.
The lady arrested for starting the fight could have been Obama’s daughter.
K00~
Talent show and womens boxing all in one night!
Latisha kinda gives it away>
“Both women consider themselves victims . . . “
Mug shot in video at link explains it.
This is one of my favorite recent brawls at some kind of gay fashion show.
not sure if the woman who picked up the table and caught folding chairs is a woman or a guy in a wig

I don’t know why there are a bunch of posts pointing out that the brawlers were black. When it comes to moms brawling at kids’ events, it could just as easily have been a white mother. There was a story not long ago about a white mom who started a fight at a little league game. When it comes to parents acting badly at kids’ events, the issue is that many parents of all races don’t control themselves (well, almost all races — I haven’t seen a story about Asian parents going ballistic at one of these events yet).
Latisha . . . first clue
That lady kinda' looks like Obambozodumbunny's sister
Shutterbugs shouldn’t expect people to just sit or move when they tell or even ask them to. They should learn how to shoot around the crowd or put the cameras away.
Typical Zer0 supporter, and I didn’t even have to click on the link to know that. I must be psychic.
If you don't your kids to be easily stereotyped don't give them home-made ghetto names.Mother Arrested After Allegedly Choking Other Mom At School Talent Show
Latisha James Arrested
ST. CLOUD, Fla. A St. Cloud mother was choked and punched in the face by another mother during a children's talent show.
Latisha James was arrested over the weekend.
A call to 911 came just minutes after the mother said she was violently ambushed by another mom in the middle of her daughter and niece's talent show. The victim told authorities the rage came out of nowhere.
"The lady came after me and grabbed me by the throat and hit me in the face," she said to a 911 operator.
"I walked up to the lady, I asked her just to kneel down for a second, just so I could get a picture of my niece, and she said, 'No, I ain't ------- sitting down,'" the woman said.
Ashley, who did not want to reveal her last name, said James was standing and blocking her view.
Ashley said she stepped in front of her to take a photo, and on her way back, accidentally bumped into James' small child and knocked her over.
"I just remember 'Push my kid again, push my kid again,'" Ashley said.
The victim's friends said that's when James exploded, choking her and hitting her face.
"I just remember the kids' horror in the face, babies sitting at the table," said a friend of Ashley's.
James took off before police arrived, but they eventually found her and arrested her.
James still seemed upset when Channel 9 stopped by her home Tuesday night.
"I'm not giving you a statement. I don't have to give you a statement. I'm about to call 911," James said Tuesday.
Those at the show can't believe it ended the way it did.
"It was a talent show for the kids, and all that rage took it off the kids and put it on her," said Ashley's friend.
The victim was not arrested, but said off-camera that she's been trespassed and wont be able to go to her daughters 5th grade graduation.
That’s exactly right. Put parents and kids in a large group with other parents and kids, and this sort of thing happens, regardless of race.
It just strikes me as funny that in these situations, the parents end up looking more immature than their children.
Americans have lost the ability to control themselves, or least a large number of them have no self-control.
What a sad state of affairs . . . :(
The clip has evidently been removed...but the station made a mistake and methinks I was a flash pic of the mom.
Suspicions confirmed.
Amish ?
Uh, when you see the words,”central Florida”, “children’s talent show”, and “brawl” in the same sentence, do you really need to ask?
To some extent, the mob does rule. There's another issue at play, though. After Newtown, everybody is extremely on edge and will over-react if they think their child is in danger. So will the police if a situation sounds potentially dangerous.
I really don't see how it's news unless the intention was to come to that event and hurt a person.
Trash is trash regardless of race. I haven’t seen American Asian stories but I am sure they exist.
