2 on 5 women are stupid.
Considering the divorce rates, 2 in 5 are going to parent solo whether they wanted to or not.
I was thinking thats about right.
About a third to a half of the population are complete fools.
Women initiate 80+% of all divorces.
I can understand this. The stability of this type of situation, for the child, would be preferable, IMHO, to shacking up solely for the sake of having a “father” around or entering into a no-hope-for-success-or-happiness marriage, or a homosexual “marriage” or “civil union”.
I personally know women like this.
They have a child....in some cases, several children.
Often living with a boyfriend, and may in fact co-own the house with him.
But they are not married. And to me more shockingly, they express the desire to never GET married.
If you ask why you typically hear something like “well, my mom got divorced, and that was very painful for her. So I won’t marry because I never want to go through a divorce.”
AAAAAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!
Which shows how completely selfish they are, and by definition, how unsuited they are to be mothers.
No, these women are selfish. They are causing great harm to their children.
If they cannot bring children into a home with a husband/father as head of household, then they should forget it.
Kids being cheated.
Beat me to it. I would have used “fools”, but stupid works, too.
i can see a single gal in her 30s “considering” the option... i would think the percentage of those in that situation who do consider it would be even greater...
I have a 12 year old son. I can't imagine raising a boy alone. I can definitely see that a son needs a father. Now, that might not have been my perspective if you asked me when I was 20 and knew pretty much nothing.
“stupid”is an excellent word when used correctly... and it is one my kids have been allowed to use—as long as they use it accordingly...
We have to go after the sperm donors. How much of a loser do you have to be for this to be your only means of procreation?
If the State didn’t make being a divorced women such an easy choice, there’d be far fewer.
Dopes.
I raised a 12 year old son “alone” (and his younger sister). It is not easy, for sure, but it can be done, and can be extremely rewarding. Sometimes those are the circumstances within which a parent has to live. The kids turned out fine, by the way.
Well, not really. I mean, the kids in that case would still have two parents. They just wouldn’t be living together.
The other instances I’m hearing about lately are women having kids on their own, with no male Father figure present in the child’s life. That’s a different story.
