Johnny Manziels offseason has been epic.
Just off the top of my head, he has rocked it courtside at Dallas Maverick games, kicked it in the champagne room at the hottest clubs, and can name Drake as a friend and role model. He is also planning a bromantic getaway with heterosexual lifemate A.J. McCarron.
Now we can add jacking homers in one of the MLBs most cavernous ballparks:

Hey, he’s right there in my home town!
He is fast losing the hungry look. The sycophants will ruin him.
Even that's doubtful. Watch one of his highlight reels. Manziel is so good that he could be al-Quaeda and I'd probably root for him....
I have. The one I like the most, is where the defensive back gets the ball and starts running down field. In just about every instance when this happens, pro or college, you NEVER EVER see the quarterback try to tackle or even chase after the guy. In this instance, Manziel runs after the guy, catches up with him, strips the ball, that’s picked up by another defensive back....AND HE TACKLES HIM TOO!!!!!!
I think they had the no 1 team last year. They lost early because their coashing staff was too stupid to unleash Manziel.
Mack Brown would have developed this young man into an All-Conference defensive back! Sad to think what might have been.
But for the moment, his career will be defined on September 14.

NCAA investigates multitude of events Heisman Trophy Winner Johnny Football has attended in off season and if they may constitute a violation of NCAA gift rules.
***Sarc alert***
Is there a highlight film of that play that you know of?
As a former college football player with NFL sights, I can tell you that he is but one injury away from falling into the obscurity of what all of us call ... real life. I shredded my knee and that’s all she wrote (ACL twice, MCL, and have no cartilage left).
Ask Daunte Culpepper, Joe Theisman, Sterling Sharpe and any one of thousands of other players how quickly the spotlight can fade.

I think it’s around 1:30 mark. This doesn’t show the whole play. I don’t know how the defense got the ball, probably interception or something, but you see Manziel over take the guy, strip the ball, that’s picked up by another defender and he tackles him too...God, I pray that he stays healthy. He reminds me of Fran Tarkington. I hated him. He’d beat the bears just about every time.
good stuff, thanks.
What was your position?
You might be right, but the guys you mentioned were all slow, and not runners. This guy is like a ballet dancer. Plus, it wouldn’t surprise me if he does something else instead of football. You go all out in life, and what happens happens I guess. Right now his goal is to be the best quarterback on the best team. If he achieves that, it can’t be taken away from him. I have fun watching him as he’s totally not full of himself. A breath of fresh air. Articulate while still young. Amazing.
There is a big difference between stupidity and ignorance.
Kingsbury was the first to admit that he didn't know what Manziel was capable of because practice is far different than a game.
When Johnny was red-shirted he played the part of the RG III in practice before the Baylor game. He gained about 600 yards against A&M's first team defence during the week and the D coordinaotor was pulling his hair out... If you can't stop a Fr., how are you going to stop RG III?" RG3 gained about 15 yards in the game and afterwards the Aggie defensive players told the coaches, "Our freshman is better than RG3." And that was a different coaching staff.
Is it a NCAA violation to be from a well-to-do family?
As Johnny has said, he doesn't do anything he hasn't always done but before nobody cared.
His great-grandfather or somebody, discovered one of the largest East TX oil fields...with a loan from Jack Dempsey, the boxer.
I was agreeing with you.
