To bring this back to our political themed website, the Wikipedia description of the Daleks could easily describe the “American” Left.
To wit:
The Daleks are a powerful race bent on universal conquest and domination, utterly without pity, compassion or remorse. Various storylines portray them as having had every emotion removed except hate, leaving them with a desire to purge the Universe of all non-Dalek life. Collectively they are the greatest enemies of the series’ protagonist, the Time Lord known as the Doctor. They are popularly known for their catchphrase “Exterminate!”
Always wondered about that. Forty watts is a pretty dim light bulb and pretty low output.
Should have been something like “Phased beam plasma rifle, in the 4 megajoule range.” A 4 megajoule pulse would put a nice hole in anything short of a tank (roughly 4 lbs of HE at point of impact!).
“...I’m just glad you didn’t go for the old Eddie Murphy joke. ...”
It took a great deal of will power, brother!!! Haha!
My stick above, which you evidently do not get, is... humor--
OH Man I remember that Trimpuh Dog skit LOL!
Hey Bender how our Futurama fans
Are they more protective of you than Trekkies or Star Wars fans
lol.
I once tried to write a story where the Doctor appears on the Enterprise, but as always I never finish it
The one with the scarf would be the Fourth Doctor, played by Tom Baker.
The newest iteration of Doctor Who started in 2005 after being off the air for many years; the production values are much higher. They started with the Ninth Doctor; they’re now on the Eleventh, and will be moving on to the Twelfth after this year.
I never could get into the old Dr. Who when I was a kid... I watched episodes now and again, I just couldn’t get past the cardboard sets. I still have fond memories of Tom Baker, but it’s more a nostalgic thing than being a “fan” of the old shows.
3 of my 4 teenage daughters started watching with the 10th Doctor, and now it’s a “must see” show in our home. I’m really glad they brought it back and actually produced it the way it deserves to be crafted.
I don’t know where I would’ve stood in this nerd war though... I’m a Rebel Scum Trekkie Whovian! ;)
Rumors are the new Doctor will be a woman.
How about a Phased plasma rifle in the 40-watt range?

BTW it offical Tommrow people coming to CW network this Fall season
OHH I hear about that yeah they try cast woman as Next Doctor that be interesting to see
LOL!
