This makes me want to take a complete course of study in metallurgy.

Waaaay cool. I have a close friend who, at age 54, headed off to gunsmith ing school in Colorado. Ben there since July and is loving it. I am jealous, but already looked over my, ummm, toys, to see what I want him to work on. :-)

Yep...vy cool.
Amazing how much early Americans knew that we don't. I don't even change my own oil...;-) And my chickens eat before I do...lovely little buggers.
Thank God we don't depend on modern kids for our freedom. We would be (may be soon) marching lock step.
That said, I think our love of freedom is powerful...and it is just beginning to be awakened (the Giant awakens).

Thanks for posting. I just watched all 10 parts.
Incredible to see the entire process.
I’m in the process of building myself an AR (more like assembling compared to that guy). Would love to incorporate some of the ideas of early rifles into it now that I’ve seen that video.

That is a good school, as is the one in Trinidad.

The entire Gunsmithing collection (113 GB, yikes!) has been uploaded to Pirate Bay. I recognized video # 2 from the link and it’s part of the collection. Good luck though getting all 100+ movies but it’s a keeper.

That’s what I hear. I think it’s an 18 or 20 month course, too.

I’m surprised the government hasn’t gone after them for technical international publication of information about how to make weapons.

The school at Trinidad (Trinidad State Junior College) operates on a conventional semester system, so the full course of study takes two years (four semesters), with optional summer school classes and electives.
