The boys at a Washington state high school have turned the pressures of being a teen girl up to "10."
For five years running, boys at Issaquah High School have pitted their female classmates against one another in an online "May Madness" tournament, voting on the sexiness of the girls and encouraging them to "look their finest" at school.
Officials in Issaquah, about 15 miles east of Seattle, say they have tried to stop the site, modeled after one focusing on celebrities run by a local sports radio station, without success.

Like growing up plain or not good looking isn’t hard enough. It’s great for the pretty ones.

Sounds like there are still some straight high school boys out there. Good sign.

We had something like this at my high school. It was conducted silently, informally and I was the only voter. I had the top ten or twenty figured out but the rankings changed slightly with my mood. I do recall it took a great deal of thought and concentration a couple of times a day.

Sounds like one of the sites that Zuckerberg ran while he was in college prior to starting Facebook.

Stuff like this has happened since the beginning of time. Only the mode and technology has changed.

Back in the 70s, I and some of my college dorm floormates used to conduct impromptu, low-tech versions of this outside the dorm dining facility after the evening meal. We were really unsophisticated since we never went to a playoff bracket system. Of course, such action at a college today would result in severe consequences for the participants for violation of multiple sections of PC.

The truth is that both girls and guys do this. The only difference is, guys tend to be flattered, and girls, pressured by the PC culture, feign fury. I promise you though, the girls who came in first place will make absolutely sure everybody knows it.

This thread is useless without pictures.Dude, they're in high school. I'm as red blooded as they come but I've no interest in rating the sexiness of little girls.
