Horrifying Video Of 747 Crash In Afghanistan

Shocking new footage has surfaced that appears to show a 747-400 cargo plane crashing at Afghanistan's Bagram Airfield. The crash reportedly left all seven Americans aboard the plane dead.

The Taliban took responsibility for the crash shortly after it occurred yesterday, but NATO told the Associated Press that these claims were false.

One army spokesperson said the crash occurred due to low altitude after takeoff. The plane, run by Florida-based National Airlines, a subsidiary of National Air Cargo, was reportedly carrying vehicles and other cargo and was bound for Dubai.

We've embedded the footage below, which appears to have been caught by a dash-cam. It seems the video was first uploaded to LiveLeak earlier this morning, and later re-uploaded to YouTube.

You realize the camera was mounted to the dashboard of the car and the driver of the truck was an English speaker, right?

Oh, and I don’t think the plane is a 747 - not the correct nose profile.

The US company that owns the plan confirmed it was a 747.

Because there wouldnt be any. We can’t see it the way people there saw it. To them it is very clear how fast that plane was going when it hit the ground and the heat of the fireball. Pointless. Utterly.

Most likely, a non-pilot wouldn’t believe or comprehend the magnitude of what he is seeing until the fireball is consumed and there’s no airplane there anymore.

Most people find it difficult to run into solid fire. Also, did you watch the video? If you were chopped up into, say 50 million pieces, would you expect someone to check to make sure you were dead? If you were in 50 million pieces, that were on fire, common sense tells anyone that you're dead.

I'm not aware of any cargo 747's that have an ejection system for anyone on-board.

The stretched upper deck of the 747-400 and National Air Cargo's unusual paint scheme make the plane a little harder to immediately identify in the video. The fuselage looks like it is all one size, at a glance.

Yes there is. There are clearly no survivors due to the speed, impact, and the massive fireball.

Miracles by the hand of God do not require intervention. Only a true miracle could have saved these folks, and it would not have depended on folks walking through the mass of fire.

God does not regularly suspend the laws of physics. He created the laws of nature and we must abide by them. Hitting the ground at that speed, with that volume of fuel leaves no doubt that all died on impact.

A more gradient approach, belly up landing, etc, you bet, but in a complete destruction scenario like that, common judgement by any human leaves no doubt all were killed.

Yes I watched the entire video. However, I would, perhaps stupidly, think maybe someone was thrown from the plane and needed help.

The last thing I thought about watching this video is that people were in 50 million pieces. I was waiting for SOMEONE, ANYONE, to get as close as possible to help.

Call me stupid, call me naive, call me whatever the hell you want, doesn’t matter.

That car/truck speeding around the crash to “get through” tells me all I need to know.

We had a terrible plane crash here on Long Island many many years ago. People ALL around went rushing to it, just to see if there were any that could be saved.

For obvious reasons, apparently. Stalled and quit flying. Consensus seems to be load shift. No pilot is stupid enough to think that the plane would climb at that angle.

Again, you're assuming people didn't "get as close as they could". The video doesn't relay distance information relative to the crash. Having been around some very large bonfires (1-2 stories, perhaps 20 feet in diameter), that are only wood burning, you'll find it very difficult to run towards such a fire.

Your thought that someone was "thrown from the plane" violates all laws of physics and structure of the aircraft and likely positions of those on-board.
