Shocking new footage has surfaced that appears to show a 747-400 cargo plane crashing at Afghanistan's Bagram Airfield. The crash reportedly left all seven Americans aboard the plane dead.
The Taliban took responsibility for the crash shortly after it occurred yesterday, but NATO told the Associated Press that these claims were false.
One army spokesperson said the crash occurred due to low altitude after takeoff. The plane, run by Florida-based National Airlines, a subsidiary of National Air Cargo, was reportedly carrying vehicles and other cargo and was bound for Dubai.
We've embedded the footage below, which appears to have been caught by a dash-cam. It seems the video was first uploaded to LiveLeak earlier this morning, and later re-uploaded to YouTube.
Warning: Some viewers may find the video upsetting:

Wonder if the load shifted back. look at the tail drop/stall.
I dunno. just guessing?
I read yesterday that the camera was mounted on a US military vehicle, and the “cameraman” said the f-word. (Not sure if true).
“Wonder if the load shifted back. look at the tail drop/stall.”
I believe you’ve got it exactly correct. Rumor has it that there was a load shift.
Another reason that fighters are safe....transports are dangerous.
Those poor men. The terror they must have felt knowing that they were about to die. My prayers go out to them and their families.
If you watch the entirety of the video, you’ll realize that the person in the HMMWV is an English-speaker. You hear him say, “Oh shit,” after he moves the vehicle into position to, presumably, block the traffic from moving forward.
This appears to have been taken by American soldiers on patrol. I don’t know about you, but I was speechless as I watched it happen.
Yeah, that'll do it.
RIP.
At least it was quick
Probably said it a number of times
Way too steep a climb, too.
I call them “Roving DashCam Ghouls”...they are in it for the cash from uncaring media.
I saw this yesterday and what was interesting to me was the truck speeding in the opposite direction. Plane to catch?
This is devastating. God bless and keep them and their families.
Definitely a stall.
Your scenario is very plausible.
If that happened, no way to save it.
Hopefully, the impact killed everyone before the flames.
Oh, and I don’t think the plane is a 747 - not the correct nose profile.
But, no matter the plane type...if the CG balance was wrong, there’s nothing the pilot could do once the thing became airborne...save for awaiting the inevitable conclusion.
I have a recurring nightmare where I witness a plane crash, it looked an awfully lot like this.
I’m no expert (well for reloading yea ;) but it looked good until the stall. I think it may just be camera angle on the initial steepness. Dunno...
I always feared takeoffs the most on flying in passenger jets.
If true, I’m laughing at the knee-jerk reaction of the original poster. Is it possible the profanity was edited from the video?
Now that is scary. I have had things like that happen before and I felt helpless once they came true. There is just no way of knowing until the damage is done.
