This past week the industry was represented in New York City at the Inside 3D Printing Conference and Expo. 3D designers and enthusiasts at the conference were able to find everything from a hobbyists printer for under $500 to a massive commercial machine with a price tag of well over half a million dollars. Exciting times ahead. This should make that little invention you've been thinking about possible.

I was watching a show about Jeff Dunham and he showed how he made the son of Achmed the dead terrorist with a 3D printer. It was amazing. My daughter is fascinated by them.

$500 is within the range of discretionary spending for toys.

So now we can buy a 3d printer and print guns cheaper than buying a gun? Awesome!
