I was watching a show about Jeff Dunham and he showed how he made the son of Achmed the dead terrorist with a 3D printer. It was amazing. My daughter is fascinated by them.

If your invention can be made out of soft plastic, and you’re willing to wait hours for each piece to be made, sure.
It’s great technology and there are alternatives, but I’ve seldom seen more hype by non-technical types.
