Cruise has been in such a series of bombs and formulaic movies recently that I wait until his movies are on cable to watch them.

Saw it yesterday...have to say it was one of the best movies I’ve seen in a while and ranks right up there with one of the best sci-fi movies ever.

Nothing at all personal against the interests you enjoy, I myself have nothing but disdain for Tom Cruise, for no other reason other than being a horrible actor, has me never seeing his movies. Okay. The fact that he claims to have these special powers, (listed below) and his alternative sexual lifestyle does contribute to the sense in which I find him most contemptible.
Special Powers Tom Cruise Claims to Have
Janet Reitman says that Cruise is OT VII (Operating Thetan of the highest level in mortal-talk), which means he's achieved all he can achieve in his current form, including the ability to control everything around him. Or so his fellow Scientologists believe, at least. OTs are Scientology's elite enlightened beings who are said to have total 'control' over themselves and their environment, Reitman writes. OTs can allegedly move inanimate objects with their minds, leave their bodies at will and telepathically communicate with, and control the behavior of, both animals and human beings, the author further says in the expose. At the highest levels, they are allegedly liberated from the physical universe, to the point where they can psychically control what Scientologists call MEST: Matter, Energy, Space and Time, she explains.

movie was awesome.
special effects and visuals are alone worth the ticket, and music is great
plot, i thought was really interesting.
acting was good too, i like cruise in it. also jamie lannister made an appearance, but with both hands attached.

This is one of the few Movies I am looking forward to seeing. I love good SciFi, and Cruise usually does a decent job in the genre. I watched “Jack Reacher” a couple of days ago and thought Cruise pulled off the role well. The movie seemed to stay true to Child’s writing. (Though I’ve not yet read the book the Movie was based on I’ve read several other Jack Reacher novels.)

I quit watching Tom Cruise after his role in Taps. Oblivion is on my list to see. I'm a sci-fi fanatic and a mild asthmatic.
