Today is being celebrated by modern pagans as Earth Day. It is a date set aside to worship the earth (paganism). Today is also the birthday of Vladimir Lenin, (April 22nd 1870). Lenin was a Russian Marxist revolutionary, author, lawyer, economic theorist, and political philosopher among other things. Lenin created the Soviet Communist Party.

I plan on running a hair dryer for a minute or three not actually drying my hair just runnign it.
Pagans are allowed to have holidays. just don’t ask me to attend any celebrations.
Should have added this. If the enviro-wacko-nutbags REALLY, REALLY cared about the erf, they would take themselves out of the equation for the “good of mankind”. Wouldn’t that be the right thing to do? But then I remembered. They are soooo much more brilliant than those of us that “don’t get it”. Can’t argue about “needing” earth island, greenways/greenbelts, turtle islands, wildlife corridors, bio-reserves and on and on. Basically, they would like everybody to live within walking distance of anything they “need” and dwell in 400sq/ft apartments. Kind of like the districts in The Hunger Games.
Roger that. BTW. Did you and phillman (?) settle your little tete a tete yesterday. Didn’t mean to start THAT discussion. LOL!
Generally Marxists are more sympathetic to Trotsky, and they will claim that Stalin wasn’t a “real Communist.”

I had fun on that thread.
I am glad earth gets a day..I have been to that planet many times..actually..most of my friends live on earth..
I celebrate “Mars Day” by eating a Mars Bar!

Know where an earthing could get a decent used space craft that has a range of 1,000LY and a decent FTL drive that has less than a Million Light Years on it?
Preferably with a full tank of fuel for the FTL drive.
While Stalin’s Communist cred might be disputed, there is no argument that he was a bloodthirsty tyrant.
Of course, I believe Trotsky had he won the power struggle would have been every bit the tyrant that Stalin was.
They believe the lie. Worship the creation rather than the Creator.
Yay Erf Day!
I won’t argue with that. If there is anything a totalitarian hates above all else, it’s competition.
Excerpts from his Wikipedia page
Ira Samuel Einhorn (born May 15, 1940), known as "the Unicorn Killer", is an American convicted murderer and former environmental advocate. Einhorn beat his ex-girlfriend, Holly Maddux, to death and then stored her body in a locked trunk in his apartment for more than a year about 18 months before she was discovered by the police.
He fled to Europe and was convicted 25 years later for her murder in 2002 and is serving a life sentence.
His moniker, "the Unicorn," came from his name, Einhorn unicorn in German.
Born into a middle-class Jewish family, Einhorn studied at the University of Pennsylvania. He became active in ecological groups and was part of the counterculture, anti-establishment and anti-war movements of the 1960s and 1970s. He called himself "the Unicorn," because Einhorn and Unicorn translate as "One Horn".
Einhorn claimed to have been master of ceremonies at the first Earth Day event in Philadelphia in 1970.He claimed to have been instrumental in the creation and launching of the Earth Day event itself.
Taking the stand in his own defense, Einhorn claimed that Maddux was murdered by CIA agents who attempted to frame Einhorn for the crime due to Einhorn's investigations on the Cold War and "psychotronics"
Earth Day’s dirty little secret...
LOL! I’ve seen this before and it’s even funnier with the annotations. A quick trip in to some of the backwater bayous in the basin might do them some good. Maybe commune with some big lizards too.
