Generally Marxists are more sympathetic to Trotsky, and they will claim that Stalin wasn’t a “real Communist.”

While Stalin’s Communist cred might be disputed, there is no argument that he was a bloodthirsty tyrant.

"Generally Marxists are more sympathetic to Trotsky..."
But Trotsky complied the Lenin's plan and even better, was a fool and crybaby refusing to take on Stalin (At the behest of Lenin).
So Marxists are convoluted, hypocritical, namby-pambies, and liars to boot (Stalin was every bit a Marxists in theory and in pursuit).
For those who hide behind the "Stalin was not a true Marxists" he sure as hell applied Dialectical/Historical Materialism into the boundaries of the real world. In essence, Stalinism is an materialistic real world application of Marxism. Tis easy to philosophize but hell to implement.
