Car saves a passenger plane with a landing gear failure. The video does not show footage of a real incident. Instead it is a cleverly constructed commercial for a Nissan Frontier truck.

I think this actually happened a few years ago, but it was a Cessna, not a large traffic liner.
An empty 737 weighs over 30 tonnes (according to one web site, it seems a bit low), enough to blow out the tires on the truck even if (if!) the suspension would hold up.

A Dodge truck might be able to handle it, but a Nissan? NEVER !!

And, iirc, a mechanic stood up through a sun roof of an auto to work the gear to extend fully and lock.
Excellent coordination by all involved...

Fake!!!!
Spoilers are out while plane is still airborne!!!
Fake!!!

INCREDIBLE...but given that it wasn’t a UAW-built truck, I’m not surprised.

I have a vague memory of an incident with a Piper Cherokee variation, a Saratoga, I think, where one of the mains didn’t extend and a guy in the back of a pick up truck that was driving down the runway under the plane was able to reach up and pull the reluctant gear down and locked.

Yeppers, big time rip off; they should sue but maybe they got paid for it.
Is the plane a 727 or a L1011?

C'mon guys, what's the forward speed of that jet on touchdown? Normally a jet that big would be coming in at around 150 KIAS, upwards of 160 MPH ground speed. Even if you assume the pilot slowed the craft considerably, there's just no way that a pickup truck could match that speed, especially if it had to accelerate to it coming from a parked position to the side.
Silly. Kinda cool looking, but a one-trick pony, and transparently impossible.
Never believe photos.
Never believe videos.
It's all just entertainment (at best), or commercials (at worst).
