My email to the NRA;
So how are they going to charge you if they don't have any bank account information?
They can either bill me or use the acct that I paid my membership dues with.
This is news?
In correct and a basic “we gave you something” so you owe us BS. I’m a huge NRA fan but if you receive “anything” in the mail you didn’t ask for then it’s yours to keep no questions asked.
I got one of these a year or so ago.
I never replied.
I never heard from them.
Don’t worry about it.
send to me.will give you my address in private email
Bingo. Holds true for anything you receive in the mail. And if they charge the credit card you used to pay your membership fees, tell the card company.
If you are sent something unsolicited, it’s yours. You neither have to return it, nor pay for it.
i love the NRA, but they treat their members like they all have alzheimers. each time i have joined, i have gotten bills for renewal within 3 months.
Did they actually say that they would “bill you” or did they just say something like, “This is a $29 value, please send your $10 today.”
Also, did they specifically say that you had to return CD if you didn’t pay?
This sounds more like the envelopes with a $1 bill in them, the are working on the hope that you will respond.
You dont have to pay anything, its just a promo disk
..Already been discussed here.
I am a life member. I also paid for my 3 sons life membership 5 years ago. I have gotten these “gifts” in the past and purposely ignored them.
However 2 weeks ago in the hoopla building up to the senate bill I wrote the NRA ILA a very generous check. I can’t do this on a regular basis since I am now on a fixed income. I pick my battles and this is a huge one we are in the middle of.
If you are going to donate, make sure it goes to either the PVF, or the ILA.

NRA membership represents about 2% of gun owners in the USA. Their prime directive is generating revenue and consolidating control of the firearms discussion.
The NRA wants, no demands, a 100% monopoly on firearms training, gun ranges, CCW training and certification, and whatever other segment of the firearms market they can get.
People used, bought, sold, traded, made, and trained with firearms and related equipment long before the NRA existed. People discussed firearms ownership long before the NRA enter the conversation.
The NRA has some useful training materials and info, but it is only ONE of MANY sources for such training.
Any group trying to establish a monopoly on any segment of a free society should send up warning flags for everyone.

Ditto.
I threw the disk away and, when they dunned me, I threw that away.
Courts settled that LONG ago — unsolicited mdse is yours to keep.

Seems simple and upfront if this is same DVD pack ya got from NRA ...
I do wish the NRA would send some of its mail in evelopes that are less official looking.
Everytime I see one in my mailbox, my first thought is its from the government and what did I do now!
If you read the materials closely, you’ll see a “you don’t actually have to pay for this thing” bit on the bottom of the letter. You’ll also probably see that it really isn’t the NRA sending it to you, but a third party company acting on behalf of the NRA.
As said in several previous posts, you are not obligated to respond, however that company likes to pretend it’s collecting on a bill and may send you another reminder, and another, all with that small print at the bottom.
It doesn’t encourage me to continue support for the NRA, and significantly erodes my trust in the organization. I’m already a life member, so there’s no annual dues to cancel or effect of cancelling my membership. They won’t see any more money from me though, not with these behaviors.
