Winters getting colder because of melting Arctic ice, says Government’s chief forecaster.
Climate change is “loading the dice” towards freezing, drier weather, says Met Office chief scientist Julia Slingo, who called publicly for the first time for an urgent investigation.
Prof Slingo said: “If you look at the way our weather patterns have behaved over the past four or five years, we’re beginning to think that there is something happening.
Yeah, Julia, there is something happening. It’s getting colder!

Back in 1977, winter here brutal and lasted so long. The cause was really(?) GLO-BULL WARMING but back then it was blamed on THE COMING ICE AGE!

Exactly correct. No matter what happens, it is always manmade climate change.
If it gets warmer, it is climate change.
If it gets colder, it is climate change.
If it stays the same, it is climate change that has not happened... yet.
If it cannot be disproved, it is not science, it is propaganda.

Never let the MMGW advocates have a moment’s peace from the demand that they explain the “negative case”, *exactly* what would be seen if MMGW was *not* happening.
And do not let them use the b.s. circular logic that if it was not happening, it wouldn’t be happening, or whatever.
And do not let them change the subject. Until they can say exactly what happens when MMGW is *not* happening, they have nothing. No proof at all.
They have been getting away with the “everything proves MMGW” nonsense for too long. Call them on it. If they say a cold, dry Britain is caused by it, ask them if Britain becomes hot and wet, does this disprove MMGW?
They will blubber and say no, because a hot and wet Britain also means MMGW, according to them. They are “bull sitters”.

What kind of a mind is it that can never be wrong, no matter what the evidence to disprove their beliefs? Answer: a liberal mind.
Cause for warming weather: global warming.
Cause for cooling weather: global warming.
Cause for ice ages: global warming.
It’s a win/win “science”, and can never be wrong or proven wrong.
Same with economic conditions:
Cause for bad economic times: republican policies of the past.
Cause for good economic conditions: Democratic Party policies of the past or present.
Cause for economic collapse: republicans.
Cause for jobs being lost: republicans.
Cause for housing crash: republicans.
Cause for wars: republicans
Cause for the world hating the U.S.: republicans
Cause for North Korea crisis: republicans, especially Bush
Cause for more people on food stamps and much higher poverty: republicans
Cause for more illegal aliens: republicans; democrats just want to make the “legal”, or undocumented.
Which belief system causes the most damage to economies and cultures and societies? Liberalism. Yet, it’s the one belief system which has an easier time lying to the people, and getting those people to believe them.
If ice is melting, shouldn't it be getting Warmer... or did I take science in the stone age (the 1970s)?
Global Climate Change™ is a much better scam for wealth distribution than Global Cooling or Global Warming ever were. Global Cooling and Global Warming could be (and eventually were) disproved over time, when none of the doomsday predictions ever occurred. But not Global Climate Change!
Is it warmer than average today? It is because of Global Climate Change!
Is it cooler than average today? It is because of Global Climate Change!
Is it wetter than average today? It is because of Global Climate Change!
Is it dryer than average today? It is because of Global Climate Change!
Are there more hurricanes, less hurricanes, stronger hurricanes, weaker hurricanes? Is it more windy, less windy, more humid, less humid?
It doesn’t matter! No matter what the weather happens to be it is because of Global Climate Changes!
It’s all Bush’s fault. Bush and those damned SUVs. Womyn and minorities will be hardest hit.
The only solution is to tax something.
I can’t recall reading anything about things getting colder because the Arctic was melting theories. Everything was supposed to be a nonstop march towards equatorial-type temps. No intermittent snow and ice. They can’t even get their wacky theories straight.
Please look up John L. Casey. He has a website. Was a scientist that worked for NASA. He recently wrote a book entitled “Cold Sun”. I read the book and it just blows the whole GW religion to tatters. He goes into great detail in the book about sun cycles. He maintains that in 2007-08, we entered into a 2-3 decade of the sun going into “hibernation” causing the cooling of the earth in that time frame. It is not only Britain but the entire planet which will be affected. These solar cycles run every 206 years. He found that there are other prominent scientists across the world who have been trying to warn governments for the past 10 years but have been squelched by the GW crowd.
Only appropriate, since the Univ of East Anglia (Britain) had a large role in fabricating globull warming "data".
So the planets heating up which means we’re going to be in the deep-freeze? Man, where were these guys when I needed a good excuse for telling Sister Mary Immaculate I didn’t do my homework?
Asking Leftist to think logically is waste of time. If they were logical thinkers, they would have abandoned socialism many decades ago.
