What Happened When The Mods Pulled My Post?
About a quart of Gin ^ | April 9 2013 | A Demented Mind

I just spent alot of time posting!

I see that, looks like you hit a small bump.

Pictured: Small Bump

What happened?
Well, someone set up us the bomb?
I'm serious!
Oh, well.. looks like your post got pulled.

Augh! I spent alot of effort on that! How did it happen?!
Couldn't be because you were doing it wrong?
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

What the, how'd you get that video of m-- uh.. I don't even wear that!
Right Skippy. *cough* Well, since you asked, here's how posts get removed.
First, if it is against TOS it gets seen.

Then it gets marked.

Okay, I have that much.
Then the mods gather:

Pictured, mods gathering.

I don't think that's how it looks, I..
Look, do you want an answer or not?
...Yes?
Right, carrying on.
Then they back their vehicle up to your post.

Whoah! What the heck is that thing?!
It's a machine, that eats other machines.
With this:

I don't see what this has to do with my post vanishing, can you tell me wha-
Watch it question boy! I have a flamethrower!

You want to vanish like your dog did?

What the?! No, not Roozer too!
To be fair, your dog WAS drunk.
What?! Who would even... please don't point that flamethrower at me.
Right, and after they saw your post off the entire forum, they set it on fire.

Wait.. that man. His face, and fire! Oh GOD WHY?!
Oh, HIS post was all about his face, so the mods set it on fire.
After that, they used the ashes to open a gate between our world and theirs, like this:

BLECH! That's horrible!
And those tentacles! GAAAH!

If you think that's bad, you should see what happens when the mods get their hands on a bad thread.

Pictured: Mod hands

Oh look, here comes a mod now.
Looks like they want to ask you about that thread you just posted.

Gaaah! Tell them I'm indisposed!

Pictured: Moderator, dunno which one.

Tell them yourself, they're right behind you.

Wait, don't run away!
We haven't gotten to what happens when they edit your thread title!

This concludes our sordid fictional tale.
If you liked that, we have plenty more in the book "Oh the horrible things you'll summon!" rumored to be written by IamnotaMod

Something new to worry about. I think I’ll go and dangle a few participles to take my mind off it.

I, for one, would be MOST happy to have the Chronicles of The Flying Castle put into print. It would allow me to add this phase of my life into a comprehensive history for my children and grandchildren.

The hard part is knowing that my part in this Saga Of The Castle, is so minute. However, I’m assuaged, knowing so many before me made such awesome contributions: Fedora, Sionnsar, Tiamat, King prout, freedumb2000 et al.

"Voices speak calmly, hands reach out, straining against the pull to touch the controls with precise movements. Slowly, gradually, the strain lessens to only uncomfortable, rather than unbearable, as the mighty engines are throttled back, and the biggest, strangest vessel to have ever been conceived maneuvers into a high orbit. In a control station on the Thrust Ring, a woman in a command chair lets out a “Whoop!” and eyes briefly glance in her direction, taking in the two cats in separate carriers on either side of her. She smiles reassuringly."

Pretty sad when you can post exactly what number you want!

Hiya, Sis!

I’m off to bed in a bit, but I’m glad you showed up. I miss you. Marshall is taking up a lot of your time, I see! LOL!

Actually, I just got lucky. I noticed my post was 4566, and I couldn't resist! Silly, I know.

Yes, I wish I could spend more time on-line, but he'll only be 3 months old for so long. And he's starting to giggle.

Oh, and, I have to tell you, my son installed a new bathroom door, and a new (European) kitchen faucet for me the week after Mother's day!
I had wanted the bathroom door for three years, and I hadn't even thought about the faucet. Then he turned to me, smiled, and when I hugged him, he said "Happy Mothers Day Mom". LOL, I melted.

I miss you too Sis. I may be able to spend some time tomorrow or Mon. Love Ya!

We loved that movie.

“Oh, look, Martha. It got little Timmy.” [Martha and Granddad watch as little Timmy is dragged screaming out of the living room by a tomato]

That was a very funny movie, if you looked at it from the right angle, LOL!

The Movie Reviews

"Lay the Favorite" with Bruce Willis, Rebecca Hall, Vince Vaughn, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Joshua Jackson, Laura
Prepon,Frank Grillo, Joel Murray, Corbin Bernsen, Andrea Frankle

2012, Rated R for language, sex, drugs, and nudity, 94 minutes.

Leaving Florida for greener pastures in Las Vegas, Beth (Hall) aspires to be a cocktail waitress so she can leave
her stripping behind her. She gets a tip that a gambler (Willis)  (who would be an illegal bookie anywhere but in
Nevada) needs someone to massage the odds and be a betting/payoff runner. She is a big improvement in his
business until his wife (Zeta-Jones) gets a look at her. Wife forces him to fire her, but their lives are not so easy to
disentangle. It is based upon a true story written by a woman who made herself the main character (Beth) in the
book. This movie is entertaining and fast paced. The good guys are sympathetic, and the bad guys aren't all that
bad.   ★★★★

"Upstream Color" with Amy Seimetz, Shane Carruth, Andrew Sensenig, Thiago Martins, Andreon
Watson, Ashton Miramontes, Myles McGee, Frank Mosley

2013, Not Rated, 96 minutes

This movie won a prize at Sundance, which we didn't find out until we started watching it. It is an incredibly
aimless, slow, and confusing mish-mash of a plot about people who feed psychotropic worms to hapless victims.
The worms make the victims compliant zombies who believe whatever the bad guys tell them, like, "give me all
your money," and "mortgage your house to save your mother from kidnappers." When the marks are destitute,
the breeder of the worms has a method to remove them, leaving their victims with temporary amnesia and an odd
psychic link to the pig that gets their worm after it is removed. In this story, a man and a woman meet and slowly
fall in love. They were both victims of the scam. Hours later, all this is revealed (well, it seemed like hours), and
the couple devise a way to stop the criminals from fleecing anyone else. It stunk on ice and did not rise to the
level of stinkeroo status.   ★★
