I just spent alot of time posting!
I see that, looks like you hit a small bump.
Pictured: Small Bump
What happened?
Well, someone set up us the bomb?
I'm serious!
Oh, well.. looks like your post got pulled.
Augh! I spent alot of effort on that! How did it happen?!
Couldn't be because you were doing it wrong?
What the, how'd you get that video of m-- uh.. I don't even wear that!
Right Skippy. *cough* Well, since you asked, here's how posts get removed.
First, if it is against TOS it gets seen.
Then it gets marked.
Okay, I have that much.
Then the mods gather:
Pictured, mods gathering.
I don't think that's how it looks, I..
Look, do you want an answer or not?
...Yes?
Right, carrying on.
Then they back their vehicle up to your post.
Whoah! What the heck is that thing?!
It's a machine, that eats other machines.
With this:
I don't see what this has to do with my post vanishing, can you tell me wha-
Watch it question boy! I have a flamethrower!
You want to vanish like your dog did?
What the?! No, not Roozer too!
To be fair, your dog WAS drunk.
What?! Who would even... please don't point that flamethrower at me.
Right, and after they saw your post off the entire forum, they set it on fire.
Wait.. that man. His face, and fire! Oh GOD WHY?!
Oh, HIS post was all about his face, so the mods set it on fire.
After that, they used the ashes to open a gate between our world and theirs, like this:
BLECH! That's horrible!
And those tentacles! GAAAH!
If you think that's bad, you should see what happens when the mods get their hands on a bad thread.
Pictured: Mod hands
Oh look, here comes a mod now.
Looks like they want to ask you about that thread you just posted.
Gaaah! Tell them I'm indisposed!
Pictured: Moderator, dunno which one.
Tell them yourself, they're right behind you.
Wait, don't run away!
We haven't gotten to what happens when they edit your thread title!
This concludes our sordid fictional tale.
If you liked that, we have plenty more in the book "Oh the horrible things you'll summon!" rumored to be written by IamnotaMod
LOL!
My daughter, whom I love dearly, is the daughter of my late husband and another whoman, who passed away when my daughter was five. I adopted her when she was 10, after my husband and I had been married a few years.
The intervening years were not pretty, but what it amounted to was a hatchet job on my daughter as far as I was concerned. She didn’t have to mind me because I wasn’t her real mother, etc.
This didn’t stop when she left home, went into the navy or got married. It was still “alive and well” until two years ago, when she finally decided “life was too short.”
Her father passed away 13 years ago, but she wasted those 13 and at least that many more manufacturing “reasons” to be angry with me so she wouldn’t have to have contact with me.
Of course, I was hurt. Of course I was angry at her father, but I also forgave him before he died, so I don’t have to carry that burden with me.
This is all to say: I never, EVER stopped praying for either of them. I prayed that I would truly forgive them, and asked Heavenly Father to please forgive them in their ignorance, to soften their hearts and bestow on them both the love that I knew they were worthy of.
I also prayed for patience for myself, for endurance, and for the blackness that was in my heart from the wound to finally go away, and for the wisdom to understand “why me?”
My daughter is doing remarkably well, now, but I know she will take to her grave the years she wasted being angry with me because of what her father said. She can never get those years back.
In the meantime, I have two grandsons I hardly know because they were unwitting “tools” in her campaign to hate me.
Love your son. Pray for guidance in knowing what to say and do in healing the wounds that have been inflicted on all sides. And pray always for forgiveness for all of you. Prayer is the only thing that got me through this. And my daughter turned 46 the day after Mother’s Day.
If we can overcome 36 years of “bad mojo,” I think you will do just fine. Never lose faith that your prayers will be answered!
Thank you, T-C.
People can be stubborn, but if God says He will bring my son back, then I don’t worry that it will happen.
I do get impatient. Thanks for sharing your story.
And if my son is married, it hasn’t made Google.
Just keep praying that God will show you your weaknesses and turn them into strengths. He can DO that! Never, ever give up on your son, and never lose faith that he will return.
It WILL happen. Perhaps not at the time, place and circumstances that you expect, but he will return.
*hug*
I haven’t spoken with my son for years, and if a cement truck runs over his mother I’m going to throw a party.
And if it backs up and runs over her again, you’re going to throw that party from some country that doesn’t extradite to the U.S., correct?
Ohmy!
Do I laugh or cry? I feel bad that you have lost your son to propaganda, but I also empathize with the the other sentiments. Invite me, please!
(PS: If I get things squared away by summer’s end, I’m heading to AZ. Mesa, Chandler, Tucson, Sahuarita ~~ all of ‘em! Shall I keep you posted?)
*tagline*
Didn't Eric Wiener say the same thing?
Or did he reverse it?
Parents can put a lot of hurt on their children, and children can put a lot of hurt on their parents. And we all do so much wrong to our loving God!
Ummm. Since he was a “hot dog,” I didn’t pay too much attention to him.
He’s not paying me to pay attention to what he says, so I don’t. ;o]
Yes, please! Let me know when you’re coming and we’ll put a feedbag on.
Most parents don’t realize that children are just that: Children. They aren’t small adults who will grow into big adults, and they can’t handle adult problems.
We need to treat our children as children, and allow them the time and room to grow and mature.
You, my friend and my FRiend, are doing an excellent job!
*hug*
Right after I gift the driver with a fifth of JD.
Like I say, it will probably be towards September, because I need to get road coverage insurance before I head anywhere, and I have to make sure that I have the money for the trip.
I have to go again in late December, for a family get-together (or maybe for Thanksgiving) but I will be sure to let you know! I think it will be so much fun to meet you!
:o])
They have me outnumbered, surrounded, pinned down, and I’m almost out of ammo. And there’s pizza sauce smeared on the furniture.
I’ll go down fighting, and Anoreth will be home tomorrow to avenge me!
Your Honor, my client maintains that he was certain his ex-wife was in the house when he put the truck in gear and engaged the clutch.
Er, Counsel, this report says the truck was securely embedded in your client’s ex-wife’s living room where her body was found.
Your Honor, I refer to my previous statement.
I love it when a plan comes together! LOL!
Probably a Lego...
There’s nothing in that picture to show scale, but those look like Duplo to me!
